Hi everyone,
We're currently in MS Office 365 ProPlus, version 1708 (Build 8431.2215) Semi-Annual Channel subscription. I just received this inquiry from a user if co-authoring is available in this build for Excel Desktop app. We tried and tested on my end but co-authoring for Excel Desktop app is unavailable for said Channel but user kept insisting that it should be.
Would appreciate it if anyone can throw in some light into this matter or provide me a link with straight-forward comparison which I can show the user? I provided him this link for reference but he just won't hear us out.
Thanks in advance for the help!

SolutionHi Leah,
It looks it's not fixed for semi-annual channel
Note - Coauthoring and autosave are not yet supported for customers who are on the FRDC or SA (semi-annual) release channel. These features are only available for customers on the current channel (CC).

Do we know when it will be available for semi annual / SA (targeted)
The quality of Monthly channel is well.. not business ready, but I want that co-authoring for OneDrive files. Well. especially since those "shared notebooks" are a thing of the past!
