Calculations going over budget

Hi 

I am trying to split a budget equally across the number of beneficiaries who have applied. This seems to constantly come in over budget. I would like it to go to the nearest whole number and then leave a remainder. Is this possible, please?

Your formula to calculate the Unit Cost "=F3/C3" needs to rounded down using the formula

=ROUNDDOWN(F3/C3;2)

This will result in 5.57 and leave you with a surplus of 34.30

Please not that the semi-colon in the suggested formula may have to be a comma, based on your local system settings.

Brilliant thank you for your help and the additional info about the comma. This is so helpful as I can now trust this will calculate everything correctly. It feeds into other sheets so was such a pain to not know if this was correct every time.
