One of the biggest challenges I feel we are going to face with Adopting Teams is the Presence capabilities. We currently use our phone system's Unified Presence capabilities. We have many, many options (all customizable) that our users can select as a status... On Home Visit, On Vacation, On-Site Meeting, Off-Site Meeting, On Break, Out Sick, Out of Town on Business, etc., etc.
There's also the capability to add some information to the status... On Home Visit (back by 3pm), On Vacation (Back April 24th). All of these status messages can be managed by our front desk staff as well, who have the ability to update other user's Presence if necessary.
Are their any plans for Teams to provide a more customized Unified Presence other than the generic, Available, Busy, Appear Away, etc.? Could their be something already added to Teams that maybe I am missing and have overlooked?
