Microsoft Policy on usage of images, awareness and communications templates

Copper Contributor

I have searched but cannot find the answer to this question I received from a customer. What is the policy for the use of Microsoft content on a company intranet and in building awareness and communications messaging? For example, can communication templates be used without issue for upcoming Office 365 rollouts? What about images from MS websites?

Hi Veronica, yes you can customise to your hearts content the templates provided as long as you stick within the Brand Guidelines regarding logos etc, you can find more information here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/legal/intellectualproperty/trademarks/usage/general.aspx

You can also use things like this Microsoft Teams Customer Success Kit that has editable templates for doing a Teams rollout and driving adoption. There are PointPoint and PDF files that can be used as digital signage or printed. There are also email templates to send to users.  It's just one example but we hope it helps people get started:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/rollout-tools
