In recent years, Microsoft has made a lot of their tools open source, new project that are from the ground up open source, UWP application samples and entire dev platforms open source such as WPF? Will the new Microsoft Edge will be open source soon or the team is still considering it?

The new version of Microsoft Edge is based on the OSS project Chromium. We published our intentions when we originally announced that we were building the next version of Edge on Chromium. You can read more about this here: https://github.com/MicrosoftEdge/MSEdge/blob/master/README.md

@Deleted  Yes its gonna become Open source and Microsoft has already released a press note regarding this on DEC 2018. Microsoft plans to align its Edge browser production efforts with the open source Chromium Web platform for the desktop version of the browser. It a big announcement.

Is there a date that the code will be released? It's been a year and I still can't find the source.
