Where' the "Mute site" option?

Copper Contributor

Edge Dev on my computer got updated to 75.0.131.0 recently and I just noticed "Mute site" option disappeared. When will it be available again?

Thanks.

Not sure exactly which update it was restored on, but Mute Tab is an option at this time.

Hi,

The "Mute Site" was available in the very first build of Edge Dev but somehow it's gone in the following builds. So, does it mean it won't be back anytime soon?

How were you using "Mute Site" differently from "Mute Tab"?

Hi @v-gapart,

Fr example, I can use "Mute Site" to turn off the sound of all the videos from a news site so I can read the news pages w/o bothering people around me. If I have only "Mute Tab", I have to do it every time I visit the website. Also, if it's a pop-up window, I don't have a tab to mute it.

Thanks.

After starting this conversation I researched further and can see the utility of the Mute Site option.  I see that it was started from Chrome, so that may be part of the reason it hasn't made it to Microsoft Edge Insider Builds.  But if enough users request it, it is likely to be included.

@v-gapart We would like to be able to mute a site versus mute a tab as well.
