Hello
I'm using an internet shortcut to download a file, like https://www.xxxx.com/xxxxx/Apps.x64.7z
The page requests a login that is registered (cookies), when I double click on the shortcut, the page opens, the loggin is already indicated and when I click on "Log in", the page remains blank, I have not the window to download the file
If I already have an open web page, and I click on the shortcut, it works fine
What is the problem ?
No problem with Google Chrome
Thanks

Hello
1. A screenshot of the page
2. Canary 78.0.276.0
3. I can not sorry, it's a "confidential" link/login
4. A shortcut that I have on the desktop
I have no problem if Edge C is already open
For information, once the file is downloaded, the web page closes itself
Thanks for your help

Since the last version of Canary (79.0.283), the pages requesting a login, opens and closes alone 2, 3 seconds after
No problem if Canary is already open, and the web page opens in a 2nd tab
That of the 1st post for example
Or I can give the url in private message to do tests

For information, the web page opens and closes itself, if I run from a shortcut,
No problem if Canary is already open (the web page opens in a new tab) or if I copy the link in the address bar
Thanks

I spoke too fast
I tested by removing the User Data directory, redo my settings and it worked
But again the same problem without touching any setting
If I delete the User Data directory again, it works
Something added to this directory....
I'm begin to regret using it as a default browser

Continuation of the monologue
I have a CrashpadMetrics-active.pma file (in User Data) that is created when the web page opens and closes
If it's related, could it help ?

I found where the bug comes from, and it really has nothing to do with the problem, so very difficult to find
Where I can indicate so that took it into account ?
I already indicated the problem by the Feedback (but without the "solution")
Thanks
