How do I remove the personalized news part in the new Edge browser?

Enable the local new tab. Go to edge://flags and search for "NTP", and set that flag to enabled.

That actually eliminates everything except the picture & the search box; which is very likable, indeed!



One can achieve the same using Bing.com (as Startup page) due to the options it has.
