GSOD playing a Netflix video

Steel Contributor

When I tried to play a Netflix video, I got the "new" GSOD (Green Screen of Death). The computer froze and no report was generated. I had to reset the computer after waiting for about 10 minutes for the report to be generated. Good point for Edge: when I launched the browser after rebooting, all Windows reopened simultaneously with no missing tab.

Edge Canary: 76.0.141.0

Windows 10: Build 18885.1001

I am reporting this event both here and in Windows' Feedback Hub just in case.

77.0.189.3 Dev release and just got a GSOD on Netflix last night. I'm on 1903 if that matters.

Something similar has happened to me aswell these last days. I get the "Blue screen of death" when changing episodes on netflix. The application that fails is called, "dxgmms2.sys".

I am on Version 79.0.309.54

@Jakob_Skytte_Thorsen Thanks for letting us know. If you haven't already, please try disabling the "use hardware acceleration when available" from edge://settings/system
