Force install extensions in offline Intranet network

Copper Contributor

Good day, now we are actively testing a new browser, in order to replace Internet Explorer 11. They immediately raised a question, please tell us, for example, how we noticed that the principle of Google Chrome extension is backward compatible with Microsoft Edge and it turns out we can use them too. But then the question arose, let's say we received extensions in the form of a file with the .CRX extension.

Suppose we have saved all of them into a specific network folder accessible to all users on the Intranet of the network, can we now force them to install them on all client computers in our network using Group policies (our network is built on Active Directory and group policies)

I can see option in ADM file - ExtensionInstallForcelist

But there they are a bit confused with an example, namely, how can I force Edge to install a specific extension from a specific network folder in the Offline intranet

Thanks!

This is likely a feature of the Enterprise version which has a Dev Channel at this time.
