To what extent are extensions vetted in the Microsoft-version of the Chromium extension-store? There have been malicious extensions in the Google Chrome-store in the past that stole data and spied on users. Will Chromium-Edge users be able to download any extension without a single worry, or do we still need to do our own careful research?

@dhoebee thank you for your inquiry.  @Balaje_Krishnan might be able to give you a more detailed answer, but I would look at the policy language on the current Microsoft Edge extension development guide.  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/extensions/getting-started

Thanks for the info. That page lays out the rules, but it doesn't clearly state in what way apps are checked before they're allowed or not.
