Caret Browsing is Essential for Edge to Supersede Internet Explorer

Copper Contributor

As of 2019, I continue to use Windows 7 and not Windows 10 in order to use Caret Browsing in Internet Explorer. I have 100-step macros that I created to use for gathering information from public records websites for work. I am sure I am not alone in needing Microsoft to preserve this vital tool which works better than any other I've found. Microsoft Teams, please do no harm: include this function in whatever Edge becomes to preserve a Competitive Edge.

Microsoft is implementing caret browsing into the chromium engine so any browser that uses the chromium engine will be able to use it natively including the new edge.
