Autocorrect misspelled words for hardware keyboard

Copper Contributor

Hello,

the native spell checker of Windows 10 has the feature "Autocorrect misspelled words as I type" for hardware keyboards, which can be enabled in Windows settings -> Devices -> Typing. This is working as expected in the old Edge browser and other apps.

However, it does not work in the latest Edge Chromium Dev build, even if the experimental flag "Use the Windows OS spellchecker" (edge://flags/#win-use-native-spellchecker) is enabled.

Is it a bug or is the full support for Windows spell checker just not implemented yet?

It is implemented but it doesn't use the uwp one.
Hi,
I've turned on auto correction for hardware keyboard but I can't get it to work. neither on Windows (notepad) nor in Edge classic.
I try to write a word like environment as envirpnment to see if it auto corrects it but it doesn't.
