Loading more content into Delve

I understand (I hope accurately) that Delve relies on Search to discover files, and uses some magic behind the scenes to roll up the content we see. Is it possible to use a hybrid search scenario, indexing file shares or other data connectors, and have that content be show inside of Delve? Would it even be considered?
