Mac OS X 10.9.3 Support for the Configuration Manager Mac Clients
Mac OS X 10.9.3 is supported on System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager and System Center 2012 Configuration Manager SP1 with the following known exception:
If you inventory video controllers on Mac computers (selected by default), they will not be inventoried, and Configuration Manager Mac clients running on Mac OS X 10.9.3 will no longer connect to management points to get policy.
Workaround:
You must uncheck the Video Controller class found in the
Hardware Inventory
tab of
Client Settings
. You can do this before or after the problem occurs.
Turning off the Video Controller Hardware Inventory Class
In the
Administration
workspace, click
Client Settings
and select the client settings you have created for Mac computers (or create new Client Device Settings).
Right-click the client settings and then select
Properties
.
Navigate to
Hardware Inventory
tab and click
Set Classes
.
Search for “
video controller
”. Once you notice the list under Video Controller class is populated, make sure
that the
Video Controller (Win32_VideoController)
class is
unchecked
as shown below
.
