Late last year this Office International community told us we should be localizing the Sway Templates! We listened to you and 24 Sway templates and 5 Featured Sways have just been released in 39 languages. We worked closely with the Sway Development team to make that happen.
Now we want to hear your perspective on them…How are the localized (non-English) versions of Sway Templates landing in your market? Is the user experience and translation up to scratch? We’re giving away a $50 Amazon voucher to the top 3 contributors in three categories:
- Highest creation of new, original posts – One winner will be selected who created the most new, original posts during the Sway Templates competition.
- Best new, original post – One winner will be selected by the judges for what they believe to be the best post during the Sway Templates competition
- New, original post with largest international impact – One winner will be selected by the judges for the post that has the largest impact across other languages (including source language) during the Sway Templates competition.
Here’s how to enter:
- Using any browser, visit sway.com or use the free Sway app from the App Store or Windows Store. If you are new to Sway, have a look at this Getting Started article or the help content from Sway Help.
- Set your language: Just scroll to the bottom of the sway.com homepage and select ‘Change Language’ to your native language.
- Open the any of the newly localised 24 Sway template from the “Start from a template” or 5 “Get inspired by a Sway” section and start using them and submit an entry to us.
- To submit your entry, “start a new conversation” in the Competitions space, adding a screenshot of your issue and as much detail as you can:
- Description of language or user experience issue
- Language
- Steps to reproduce your issue
- Browser used (if applicable)
- Current translation (if applicable)
- Suggested translation (if applicable)
- English text (if known)
- Reason why you feel it should change
Your posts will be used to improve the quality of these localized Sway Templates as we review the feedback and hopefully implement your suggestions in later versions. For full rules please see here.
