Hello,
I am having a great difficulty creating a simple bar plot (not clustered). I have attached a picture of what I currently have. What I am trying to do (with poor success) is to create an identical plot to what I currently have but change certain column colors. Basically I am trying to color coordinate certain columns together (4 groups, good=green (first 5), medium=blue (next 7), bad=red (next 6), other=grey(all remaining). I have tried adding each as their own series but then the columns cluster together and I lose the x-axis label. I feel like this should be incredibly simple, yet I am having extreme difficulty producing what I want.
Please let me know if I need to articulate more. Thank you for your help!

Also, I am using MS Office 2016 (on a mac but I have access to a windows machine too if that makes it easier).
Thanks.

Jay,
There are workarounds like https://alesandrab.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/create-charts-with-conditional-formatting/ or http://excel-example.com/charts/conditional-formatting-in-column-bar-charts
You could find much more samples
