The Delve app for Windows 10 is no more, it’s to do with consolidating search experiences in Windows and Office 365, rather than having standalone options, according to press reports:

“The Office Delve for Windows 10 app is no longer supported and has been removed from the Windows Store. We recommend that you use the Web version of Delve instead”

Microsoft hints at the overall demise of Delve with the infusion of the Microsoft Graph across Office 365, Microsoft 365 and the integration of LinkedIn. Rather than a gradual deprecation it makes sense to me to announce an EOL strategy for Delve.

Yes, that may well be the case.  Delve as a standalone feature could be increasingly less relevant with Office Graph and the smarts it brings infused throughout Office 365 services and directly into Windows 10 as well.

I think Delve was always a showcase of what could be done and it's served that purpose well but integration throughout Office 365 was probably always the end goal.  Either way, Microsoft will have the analytics to back up any decision on its future but an EOL declaration may not be on the cards just yet or not likely at all, hard to say at this point.

I think there is a lack of communication about the future of Delve that I'm still trying to understand...well, basically I cannot clearly see the future of Delve in Office 365

I agree. The Graph brings the Delve experience into the application you are using, rather than going to a standalone application. Cem Akyan spoke with Jeremy Thake on a recent Hyperfish Podcast about the Graph, LinkedIn and the People card. The card changes depending on the application you are using it from, presenting different information the Graph. While in SharePoint, it displays recent documents created/modified by the person. Within email, it displays the avability for a meeting.

It is far more useful when the Graph information comes to where we are, using the context of our current activity, rather than the jarring experience of leaving our work to visit a different page or application.

Really good points! It is jarring, with the back and forth nature not really lending itself to an ongoing productive workflow. Also, Delve in itself can be a stumbling block with adoption, being misunderstood etc. Much better to just have it there in the experiences where people work already and doesn't look out of place.

I have just posted about Windows 10 'Sets' and this looks to be a glimpse of what an integrated experience looks like for Office 365 users  - Windows 10 'Sets' and Office 365.
