@Rohit Nayak ; thanks for you post. have you tried your setup with a Site 2 Site?What I found out is that for a S2S connection I had to add two routes. One for the VNet-Subnet to be able to access the proxy, and a 2nd for the actual subnet where the mssql connection is established to, e.g. 23.101.16...

I have updated the article - if the restore fails try again with the date 5 min in the past. It is possible that deleted time is not accurate.

Thanks for the comments and you are right. I have updated the article clarifying that we are recommending to use automatic backups, point-in-time restore, cross-instance restore, and geo-restore for backups, which keeps you compliant and provide most of the functionalities that you need.

Agree with the previous commenter. You're suggesting disabling TDE for backup/restore purposes ? This would be a major violation of strict company IT security policies. I suggest we need a transparent backup/restore process that maintains high security.

Seems like you stopped posting the monthly top 10 contributors (monthly leaderboards) and this was the last publish. Too bad, this is a nice publication which can help push communities members to do more and it gives nice credit on the way to some of these who already do.
