Hi Elliot, I had mentioned this at a Windows Insider event about the Microsoft Edge browser being able to receive updates through the Microsoft Store. A problem with Edge not being in the store is that in order to update the broser you would have to update your whole operating system, so by putting the browser in the store it can receive updates through the store, unless you could deliver updates separately through the Windows Updates like Windows Security patches come through. @Elliot Kirk

Great start. Things I'm missing (in order of priority) are
1. Old pdf reader
3. Cortana integration
4. Inline definitions
5. Timeline support
6. Favourites side panel
7. Fluent design.

Facebook infinite scrolling is not working. Have to click more posts button every time to load new posts. It is like some scripts are getting blocked. Tested on two accounts on both dev and canary version. Tried clearing cookies and cache. Works well with old Edge and other Chromium-based browsers.

@Elliot Kirk Installed recently, and I am pretty impressed. I would really like to see this 2 features in upcoming releases:
1. Dark Mode
2. Screenshot option as in other broswers (Opera, Firefox)

@Elliot Kirk , I hope you'll support adding AAD browser logins, although I'm mindful of potential problems. (The consequences of allowing firstname.lastname@example.org as an MS account persist to this very day.)
I must say, though, that at times MS seems clairvoyant, which is fine, given the benevolence.

@igorce if you are on Windows 10 and your OS scheme is set to dark you can set up the dark mode in edge://flags. I guess a option in the settings UI is coming soon

@Elliot Kirk One likable thing is that it is easier to tell which is the currently used/open tab, when in a multi-tab usage scenario. Prolly everyone knows of what I speak. (Compared to current Edge). And it does a better job of applying ones chosen accent colour on the top bar of the browser.

Yes. But if new Edge update with Windows update, will it updte quickly as chormium but not like old Edge? And can we use it in 19H1 without download a installer. Thank you.

I keep telling myself, "It's early". There are a few things missing (<-- understatement).
The Favourites Star and Reading View being examples.

It does seem quite quick, even, at this early stage. It snaps.
Now, this is important:
Must change Settings, Extentions, all the enquiries from opening as new tabs or new windows. Have them open in panels w/in the window being used/viewed... same as original Edge. Don't want to leave where something was wanted... would, likely, relate to what (the page or site) was being viewed. It is nicer, best to (just) have panels open not, an actual page making you leave where you were.

Done & thanks. There's lots that is not intuitive & takes more 'effort' (to do or find) than w/ the current Edge. Maybe, not accustomed to it, merely unfamiliar ground. I mean, only, bit a bit of use since all of yesterday LOL. Though, we know there's a lot more building to be done & heaps of "Coming Soon" things.

IE 11 ... Eeeeeek! Edge & Edge Beta are both better than IE; both performance & features.
04-09-2019 10:19 PM
Excuse, I know you're not asking me, but, I have an thought about this...
Because, you don't want to, actually, leave the page or site being viewed. AND the 'enquiry' is likely related to where one is... you want to, STILL, (be able to) see where you are... NOT, be switched to a completely different tab/page. Panels make MUCH more sense! That should NOT be changed! to these full pages.

Holy Moly, have y'all noticed how bloody long the list of flags is. WOW! Don't have that many hrs in a day.
