@denster50 Can you share a screenshot...if it's actually failing to place a button i think your Office installation is corrupted.

@denster50 This is an error i have never seen ...heard or similar....probably you hit the jackpot....

I am thinking that you have sever installation issues...i would completely remove the Office installation and retry...but let it run for a few days if someone else comes with a better idea.
