Hey - you can forget this. I've worked out what to do - divide what's in the total cell by the number of cells and then copy the answer into each cell. It works. Thanks.
Fri, 01 Feb 2019 11:19:01 GMTDavid_P2019-02-01T11:19:01ZHow to split a % total cell between a varying number of cells

I want to have a total cell in an Excel spreadsheet which adds up the percentages in a number of other cells to 100%.

There may be eg - 4 other cells selected in which case they will be 25% each. I want a formula to paste into the cells (all selected as part of the total column) so that the % in each cell will change if additional cells are added but always adding up to 100%.

Is this possible?
Fri, 01 Feb 2019 07:59:48 GMThttps://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/excel/how-to-split-a-total-cell-between-a-varying-number-of-cells/m-p/329219#M24909David_P2019-02-01T07:59:48ZRe: How to split a % total cell between a varying number of cells
