How do I speed up laptop startup when not on domain?

When company laptops are not connected to the domain, when users are working from home, when they startup it can take 2-3 minutes at 'Applying Computer Settings' before they connect to the VPN. When connected to the domain in the office, they startup fast and acceptable. How can I speed up this startup time when users are working from home?

This is the biggest problem in my life dealing with disturbing auto update from Microsoft

You need to be in charge of this Microsoft as I never wanted to have my windows updated and always turn the auto update off but it always seemed to muscle itself in on my PC every time I put my pc to sleep.

I left about 100 tabs open and active for serveral months because all those things are my workS that need to be done.
I never shutdown my PC for months, only thing I did is put it to SLEEP.
Once the lastest update started to act up during the sleep of my pc and when my PC restarted

EVERY SINGLE TABS HAD COMPLETELY GONE!!

They are not automatically restored as usual as the very past previous updates...

I seriously need help..
All the tabs forcibly closed mean a lot to my life.

Need your help in clarifying the query Will MS Teams product has track of the click events of the buttons/controls in the Bot Framework Cards like Adaptive Cards, Hero Cards etc..

We are working on measuring the Adoption for a chat Bot. As a part of that, we would want to know how many users reacted to the buttons/messages sent proactively to the users of MS Teams as notifications.

Word to PDF- Table Of Content is not exporting ok in PDF (not working)

We are trying to convert Word to PDF with default option having TOC working in my doc.

Seems like from recent update of Word 365 we are not able to get PDFs in hyperlinked format. Instead they are simply text. This is urgent, we have a business account and we need this feature.

I have a few users whose emails are being blocked from sending.

We notice that this only occurs within one domain. M365 are blocking users from sending out emails within the organization. We check to enure that our tenant has not been compromised. This strangely happens randomly, and the policy is in its default settings. I read around the community and was unable to find a resolution. When will MS fix this issue ?

Outlook 2019 keeps crashing with Windows 10

Outlook 2019 opens ok, downloads mail, view emails, etc. All of a sudden it no longer downloads mail. I can still send. When I close Outlook it is still running. I have to go to task manager and kill Outlook. Tried reinstalling outlook - didn't help. Made sure no large files. Tried other fixes that I found on web. Any suggestions?

Activated Sandbox
Entered into Azure portal. I have got MICROSOFT LEARN SANDBOX under my profile in the top right corner of the page.
Create a resource --> WordPress --> Create button
Then I got the below-mentioned page

This is how I did as mentioned in the module but I don't get the details such as database provider to fill in.
Please point me where did I go wrong.

Sandbox - "Template Deployment Failed..."

I am working on an MS Learn module exercise "Create a website hosted in Azure". I clicked the link to set up the sandbox, which seemed to work, and signed into Azure portal. The right hand side of the portal dashboard shows "MICROSOFT LEARN SANDBOX" under my profile email, and when I look at the directory setting, it also shows the sandbox selected as the current directory.

But when I follow the module directions and try to "create a resource" selecting "Wordpress" from the Azure marketplace, then selecting the learn-[...] resource group from the Concierge Subscription, the deployment fails. I've tried on different regions, but all give the same error: (Code: RequestDisallowedByPolicy)

I've been trying to figure this out for A While Now, and my sandbox only has 1h 4m remaining, so at this point I'll probably just wait until it times out and try again. But I would like to understand if there's something that I likely did wrong, so I don't get into the same situation with the next sandbox.

I've attached screenshots of the config & deploy errors, in case that's useful.

I have been switching between a monitor and conference room TV for work and have an idea that would help speed up the process.

Every time I switch the HDMIs I have to go into my settings and reconfigure my audio output and mic input to set as certain devices. I would like to have something like "Sound settings Loadouts" or "Saved Configurations." So that I can quick select one setup and be ready to go.

I have Enterprise Administrator Expert certificate and it will expired after 38 days , last week i toke the renewal assessment and i passed but now the certificate not appear , also when i try to access the renewal site its showing the status You'll need to earn this certification before you're eligible to renew it.

One of our client that is having issues emailing to their domain (@client.com) from only one external domain & mail (@supplier.com) after migrated one mail host provider to Exchange Online (O365).

We can send an email to them and they get it, but they cannot respond back to the email or email us directly. I asked one of our clients to take a screenshot of the error message and this is what I get.

As per the exchange mail trace, the email didn't reach to Exchange Online (O365).

We have asked the mail host provider to check and not get it results.

Large email scam and password steal just for Hotmail.

My mom's account got hacked. So the first thing I did was add me as a backup email but this action has locked the account for one month! Wouldn't let me change passwords or anything. Now this bot has already sent out over 100k emails in 3 weeks just from her account. It's simple it just had a html file it says final contract. When you click it looks like Hotmail login like when you time out. My mom's older she didn't go to school for this. So now this has probably stolen million of password and emails. So expect once this hits the black market for things to start getting hacked. I spemt two hours on with Microsoft just trying to stop it we already have most things transfered over. But it logs in and send thousands to tens of thousands per day. If this has happened to you then change all your email and password you use with the same username and emails. The bad thing is Microsoft had 0 over rides? Noone could kick them out when they can look and see suspicious activity. Why wouldn't they block that first and ask before they send our that many emails. Where is the fail safe? The security feature of waiting 30 days from doing one change just worked against it. It only targets Hotmail accounts. I couldn't send it to my email to Google, proton, yahoo, ect..

Hello, I was learning on Microsoft Learn platform, 2 days ago everything was fine, today I can't connect to sandbox and finish my exercises. For some reason access to Lab (sandbox) suspended because of unusual activity of my account, but all I did was learn nothing more. I contacted MS support for help, wasted 2 hours, got redirected 3 times to different branches and yet no one helped me...

Hi all,

Some background: Years ago I did the old 70-532/533/534 certification exams, then the transition exams to AZ-100/200/300, which earned me the Azure dev/admin/arch certifications (valid until autumn 2021). Since I had never done the full 100/200/300 exams, I thought it would be fun to do those before the changes in June, which I did (and it was fun). I was quite surprised that my transcript then showed me being double certified, i.e. I had an active certification for both my old and new exam passes.

Ok, but that was good, since it meant I could try the new Learn certification renewal for my old certs, right? True enough, before summer I got emails for the expiring certifications with links to Learn. I thought I'd postpone those until after the vacations, but now when I go to Learn my old certs show up as:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (Legacy)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (Legacy)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Legacy)

Their links have a suffix -erlr: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/azure-developer-erlr, which gives 404. Going to the /renew urls show my cert expiring in 6xx days, which is of course the expiration date for my new certifications.

Before summer I checked that I was able to launch the renewal for my old certs in Learn (got screenshot to prove it), so I trusted that I can return to that now in the autumn. That seems not to be the case anymore, so is this a bug or did I blow my chance at trying the new Learn renewal? Is it possible to enable the renewal for my old certs, since I would like to familiarize myself with those professionally (Azure advocacy and guidance in my org)?

MCT Renewal

Hello, the page for the Azure AI Engineer Associate certification says, "Candidates for this certification should be proficient in C# or Python and should be able to use REST-based APIs and SDKs to build computer vision, natural language processing, knowledge mining, and conversational AI solutions on Azure." The page also lists a number of learning paths to prepare for the AI-102 exam.

What I'm wondering is: What additional knowledge (of C#, Python, etc.) that is not covered in the learning paths listed is required for the exam? The skills outline document doesn't specify this either.

I'm looking for a contract management solution that also has timesheets built into it. I need to start tracking planned man hours vs actual man hours per project on a weekly basis/monthly basis. Most of my clients/projects are charged on an hourly pattern. So, it is important that we track the time spent on the project along with the contract’s progress. I'm managing multiple projects and don't have time to create those reports manually so I'm looking for a software that does it automatically. I was hoping that I’d be able to track that status of the project and the contracts at the same time. One other important thing that the software should be able to collaborate with external and internal parties. I am getting recommendations for the contract management software from different sources.

I'd like to request all to share their experiences in this regard.

Why Not Have Windows EMET with Windows 10 and 11

Why not make Windows 10/11 more safe and secure by including EMET into their underlying workings.

CERT: Windows 7 with EMET is more secure than Windows 10, so don't retire EMET - Neowin

My understanding is that the underlying structure of Windows 10 was changed around the Fall Creator's Update. I had a system I was working on but sadly the client had another person update their perfectly good Windows 8.1 system to Windows 10 and sadly she did not inform me. The Fall Creator's Update completely messed up the system. It crashed and sadly she did not have her data backed up. This is why I have a disclaimer form for clients to sign that they have had their data properly backed on locally and/or in the cloud. If you have EMET it will work with Windows 7 Professional and Enterprise versions with ESU. (I don't know about the educational version). It continues to work even though it is technically no longer supported. There will be no new features for EMET on Windows 7 machines. There is Windows Defender and Microsoft Technology that is supposed to be superior to EMET but the great questions is whether or not the newer technology is actually indeed better for everyone.

(If this needs to be moved to the Windows 10 area then I give permission to a Microsoft Admin to move this post)

I have to do some work on a training company that wants to become a direct Microsoft training centre.
I would like to know the steps, requirements and conditions to become an exam delivery provider (EDP) and offer Microsoft Certification exams on my own premises, without using third parties for this purpose.

Unable to send emails to same internal domain after updating SPF record

I am migrating Gsuite emails to O365 in staged migration method. We have set updated SPF record of O365 to send emails from O365 mailboxes. We are able to send emails to outside domains successfully but not able to send emails to same internal domain. Kindly help.

I need a new home page. I am Shalom Lamm and I am asking for ideas for a new home page. For quite a long time, I've been using YAHOO, but it has now become a total PITA! I am not discussing the content, that's for another forum. I am talking about the format only here. I like the way it's spread out with the central section with news titles and a short caption of the article. Just scroll and click what you like. It has become bloated with popups and slide-overs. not to mention autoruns. Even with ad blockers, it's become too irritating. I am asking for your suggestions on home pages. I like to see one with a lot of links to news sites. I don't like MSN and Google News.
