      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi There,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a tenant as part of the Microsoft Developer program, but I am trying to explore the possibilities with Project for the Web (Project Plan 1) and Project Online (Project Plan 3&amp;amp;5) and also how that interacts with Project Roadmap and Power BI.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The problem is I can seem to find anything to do with Project in my tenant.       <description>&lt;PRE&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hello,

In MS Project, I wish I could schedule a resource without redistributing the remaining time.

Ex: A person is planned at 50% over a year (i.e. 10 days per month)
In January, the resource only worked 2 days.

MS Project behavior =&amp;gt; the system redistributes 8 days until the end of the year after the days entered

Desired behavior =&amp;gt; the system must consider 2 days past in January and must not redistribute the 8 days considered as past or lost.

What are the possible options on the tasks in order to be able to simulate the desired behavior?

Currently I've included a filter to fetch projects and related tasks, assignments by published date time. But when I execute it also includes newly created project and related tasks, assignments. Project, task, assignment creation module executes before update module. How this scenario can be handle? We have a resource field which shows the annual entitlement, so as these entitlement days are consumed I want to then report on the remaining days that each resource would have available. However I am really struggling to find the right data in the tables that would provide me with the approved vacation days taken/booked so far.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Any advice greatly appreciated.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to find out what realy happen with calendars in Projet for the web. I accept that 9-5 is the default and that I can't do anything about that. Just like the desktop version. So I have to set up my own default calendar template. I know the whole routine to add a new calendar template. So I don't need help with that. However, when I try to set up a new template I also have to change the time zone. Often I have to do this more than one time. (When I create the calendar resource and when I add it to the template) Also strange, the time zone I have to change from can be different. From Casablanca time to Beograd and even UTC. Where can I find the place where the time zone settings in Project for the web are located? Where are all this things connected. These problems seems a little odd to me. Please, anyone?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Differences between Project XML and MPP files</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am using Project Standard 2016 (Version 1908 Build 11929.20300)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have experienced an issue where I am getting differences in data between an original *.mpp file, and an *.xml that I exported from that mpp file. The differences then continue to occur if I then save the first XML file as an XML file again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have attached the 3 Project files in the .Zip file.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;These are my steps:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Opened the "Sample.MPP", and took a screenshot of the first 23 tasks&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Saved the file as "Sample.XML".&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Opened that "Sample.XML" file, selecting 'Import as New Project' when prompted. Took a screenshot of the same Tasks.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Saved that as a second XML file "Sample_2".XML (no changes were made to it).&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Opened that "Sample_2".XML file, selecting 'Import as New Project' when prompted. Took a screenshot of the same Tasks.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;I compared the screenshots between all 3 files, and noticed that Dates and Durations were continuously changing from the original MPP file (see attached file Differences.png)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I checked the Calendar Options and Working Time settings after each file is opened, and they seem all the same: &lt;A href="https://www.screencast.com/t/7RdF3B0BdW" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.screencast.com/t/7RdF3B0BdW&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I also check what the Calendar Options were for 'New Projects' and they were slightly different: &lt;A href="https://www.screencast.com/t/3DOPdG9y" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.screencast.com/t/3DOPdG9y&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is causing these differences?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Does the XML Export have certain limitations / not support certain settings?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Is there something else that is adjusting the dates when the XML file is being opened/imported as a new Project?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Updates:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I also tested in MS Project 2019, and the issue still happens.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I think it may be related to the fact that the project is using the '24 Hour' calendar. I had another 2 Project files which were exporting / loading XMLs fine, but as soon as i changed the calendar in the MPP files to use "24 Hour", and then exported the XML, once that XML was opened in Project again, the dates/times changed.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;</description>

      <title>Basic Question - "Cost Variance" always equals "Cost"</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I'm fairly new to Project.&amp;nbsp; I've noticed whenever I have a task that takes less time to complete than is scheduled/specified (actual duration vs duration) it always changes the "% complete" fields and my cost variance is always listed as the same as my "cost".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For example, User John has a task scheduled for 3 hours that only ends up taking him 1.5 hours to complete.&amp;nbsp; At his rate of $190 per hour, the planned cost ("cost") for his task should be $570 but since it only took 1.5 hours the actual cost is $285.&amp;nbsp; So far so good, except that when I display the "Cost variance" field Project lists my CV as $570.&amp;nbsp; And worse, when I change the "actual duration" it automatically thinks the task is no longer at 100% completion.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I kind of have two basic issues:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; I want to be able to mark tasks at 100% completion even if they take less time than originally planned.&amp;nbsp; And I want the actual time spent on that task to NOT get reset if I manually mark a task as 100% complete.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2.&amp;nbsp; I need to figure out how the cost variance works in the sense that all my attempts thus far have never shown anything other than "cost variance" always being the same as "cost".&lt;/P&gt;</description>

There have been many references on Technet referring to the website below, but it returns a "403 Forbidden"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We would like to be able to assign a project team to a project (project manager, team members, etc) and this project team would be able to edit projects assigned to them. This project team would also be able to view (read-only) all other projects. I have seen references to editing "Categories" and "My Organization", but I am not sure where to start.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a comprehensive set of instructions we can follow?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Can anyone tell me if this is expected behaviour or if there is any what I can stop it from happening?&lt;BR /&gt;We ask PMs to request generic resources and use time-phasing to specify how much resource they require each week/month. We have found that in the web app, when a resource manager reassigns a time-phased engagement to a named resource, the committed work row in the time-phased view auto-populates with the max units for the request, smoothed rather than time-phased. This results in over-booking if the resource lead doesn't spot it and remember to copy the proposed work row and copy it into the committed work row.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For example:&lt;BR /&gt;PM requests a resource for 5 days in week 1, 3 days in week 2, 0 days in week 3 and 5 days in week 4&lt;BR /&gt;Resource lead sees this engagement in time-phased view and can see the uneven profile&lt;BR /&gt;Resource lead reassigns the engagement to another resource. Project online automatically enters 5 days per week for entire engagement.&lt;BR /&gt;Resource lead has to copy the uneven profile in the proposed row and paste it into the committed row before accepting the engagement.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It has 0 duration and Milestone column has "Yes". However, Finish date is 2.5 months later than start date.       <title>PWA: Group/Category &amp; Project Permissions -in relation to- SharePoint: Read vs Edit Access</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Good morning,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am hoping someone in the community can help steer me in the right direct… and hopefully help me make sense of the nuances of getting permissions/Groups/Categories setup correctly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;U&gt;Basic Setup&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When a new Project is created, it kicks off a corresponding Teams Team and a SharePoint site. The owner of the Project then opens the Project in PWA, and uses Build Team to add users/resources, and then uses ‘Project Permissions’, which seems to be ‘the key’ in giving certain levels of access to the Documents in the SharePoint site.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We currently have 2 main ‘Groups’ that are used when setting up a new User/Resource in Project Web App:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Project Managers – In PWA: Have a Project license, work with publishing the Schedule. In Project SharePoint: Upload documents into various ‘Focused Libraries’ (folders for specific types of files.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Foreman – In PWA: A few have an Essentials license, which is likely unnecessary. In Project SharePoint: View any documents that have been uploaded.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Note:&lt;/STRONG&gt; Not sure if it matters (it might!), but when initially getting a new Project going, the PM will open the Project in PWA, and go into ‘Project Permissions’. Currently, they assign ‘Project Permissions’ with 2 configurations…&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PMs/Admins: Open the project within Project Professional or Project Web App. Edit and Save the project within Project Professional or Project Web App. Edit Project Summary Fields within Project Professional or Project Web App. Publish the project within Project Professional or Project Web App. View the Project Summary in the Project Center. View the Project Schedule Details in Project Web App. View the Project Site.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Foremen/Superintendents:&amp;nbsp; Open the project within Project Professional or Project Web App. View the Project Summary in the Project Center. View the Project Schedule Details in Project Web. App View the Project Site.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;U&gt;GOAL:&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; What I am looking to do is setup a 3rd Group, between these 2 Groups, which would basically be setup as such:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Superintendents – In PWA, like Foremen, really don’t do anything. In Project SharePoint: View all documents, with the ability to mark-up (edit) documents. This group needs the ability to ‘edit’ so that they are able to highlight and make notes on Design Drawings.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;U&gt;QUESTION:&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; Where exactly would I need to make changes to get the Superintendents edit access in SharePoint?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Specific toggle(s)/permission(s) in a Group?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We upgraded from Sever 2010 to Server 2019.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We had a development on 2010 that replaces the Group coming from AD Sync with a mapped value that we managed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In 2019 this development doesn't work. We checked out and found:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Trying to change Group to an enterprise resource with CSOM did nothing for an enterprise that is synched with AD&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Same with PSI&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When selecting this resource in PWA and clicking Edit Resource - the Group field is grayed out&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;However, when clicking Open (to open in Checked-Out Enterprise Resources), I can edit the Group field to the resource and save it again&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a way to enable editing the Group field programmatically?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Barak&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a problem with Project Server 2019 - Project Web App sites in both test and production farms. The problem is when I try to open any project in edit mode and navigate to schedule.aspx page, I get a message saying "Sorry, we were unable to open your project..." gives you an option to click OK and takes you back to the project center.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;BTW Everything was working fine in both test/production env till last week or so. I believe the customer IT department made some changes but I don't know what It might be. What I tried so far to find a root cause is listed below. As I said both environments have the same issue, so the problem could be related to some security policy blocking something that affects both farms.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;edit: editing and publishing schedule works fine through MS Project Professional&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;reached the web services through VPN, receive the said error,&lt;BR /&gt;used RDP to connect to a local virtual machine in the customer network, receive the same problem&lt;BR /&gt;tried Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer, received the same problem&lt;BR /&gt;tried to access PWA sites from directly host servers, received the same problem&lt;BR /&gt;checked for script load fails using developer console network tab, but didn't find any failed loads&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did check the ULS records and here is what I found:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;LI-CODE lang="bash"&gt;PcsPool.AssignWorker: Failed to assign worker to project ed0ecd66-391f-eb11-b073-0050568a442e, removing from database. But within this Site Template will be a custom list and I want to be able to select from a list of existing published projects in this list.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I use the project status date and progress lines a lot to visually inspect a plan to quickly identify tasks which are tracking behind or ahead of where they "should be" based on the expected level of completion at the status date.&amp;nbsp; This is a useful way of focusing the team's attention and challenging them with "based on your progress how are you going to recover the delay and hit the planned finish date".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would like to be able to calculate in MSP what my eyes can see - i.e. that based on the current expected progress (is this "complete through"?) minus actual % complete we're 2 weeks behind schedule.&amp;nbsp; In this way I can then add this onto the finish using a custom field and indicate when tasks will complete using the current burn rate.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Many thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Miles&lt;/P&gt;</description>

To give some background we have a global currency set to GBP in our Project Online environment. However we want to have a custom field that shows a conversion to USD based on the value in another field which is the conversion rate (ROE). We can't use another cost field and a number field doesn't allow the display of "$" symbol. So I thought it might be possible to show this in a Text field concatenating the "$" with&amp;nbsp; the calculated value.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;"ROE" is the Rate of Exchange Value (typically 1.3)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;"OV Budget (£)" is a custom cost field for entering an overall budget value (in GBP)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;"$" &amp;amp; ([ROE] * [OV Budget Estimate (£)]) is the formula I am using in another custom text field to display the converted value in US dollars.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, the format doesn't show the number of decimal places correctly and it doesn't show the "," in the same way that a normal cost field would.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm new to this. My tasks are auto-scheduled, and the ones in questions are work-driven, each with an amount of work set at one hour. I have my scheduling set to enter duration in hours, but they are all displayed in days. The two tasks in question have a FS relationship. The first task takes up an entire day, forcing the 2nd to be on the next day, even thought they could go one after the other on the same day since they are each only one hour of work. Is there some way to change this behavior?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would have attached my project file, but this forum will not allow the file type, even though this is a forum for Project, run by the people who make the software, and they should know that people would want to exchange and share files of this type.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks everyone!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm using Project 2019 Pro now, and for some reason, the software indicates to me that there is an overallocation of resources in the identification column (but there is no overallocation). I have tried to allocate resources, but nothing has changed. The only way to solve this problem is to change the time distribution option to other conditions and then to the original normal distribution in the task allocation, which can sometimes be solved (the red prompt for identifying columns disappears). But after this operation, I save the file and open it again, but the original red prompt will still appear. Please help me solve this problem, thank you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We have multiple projects set up in MS Teams for collaboration and information sharing.&amp;nbsp; These projects have plans and schedules with some in MS Planner, some in P4W, and others in Project Online (PWA).&amp;nbsp; I have a few users that would need P4W licenses and a few users that would need PWA licenses.&amp;nbsp; However, I have a large group of users that do not need licenses since they don't create or manage plans and schedules.&amp;nbsp; They do however need to be able to view tasks, assignments, schedule dates and Gantt charts as information only.&amp;nbsp; All these users have Office 365 licenses.&amp;nbsp; I keep reading that Office 365 users have view only capability with Project but I can't find out how to get this set up.&amp;nbsp; Additionally, those with P4W licenses will need view only access for the PWA projects.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do I set this up so that my Office 365 users can view only all projects???&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am experiencing a particular issue in MS Project related to the setting of a new baseline during the progress of the projects. I have carried out some attempts obtaining the following results:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;For the task which need a variation, I set a new baseline by overwriting the old one using roll up baseline options. The result I get is that the overall BCWP value is correctly updated, while the time series value (Task Usage View) disappears in all the summary tasks which contain that task, including the project summary task. While, BCWP cumulative value related to the single task shows a wrong value not coincident with the overall BCWP&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I set a new baseline by overwriting the old one for the whole project. The result I get is that the overall BCWP value is correctly updated. While, the BCWP cumulative time series value (Task Usage View) is not coincident with the overall BCWP for both, tasks and summary tasks. Moreover, despite fixing a new baseline without overwrite the old one and using it for EV calculation, I obtained the same result described above&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can someone tell me what is the cause of this problem?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey there,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been looking high and low for an answer on this, but cannot seem to find an answer anywhere.&amp;nbsp;I have set non-working times in my calendar. They are showing in the timeline but activities are still being scheduled over these periods, and I cannot get this to work correctly.&amp;nbsp;I have created and set a new project calendar, and allocated the correct days as exceptions. In the calendar these days are marked as non-working days.&amp;nbsp;I have applied these to the timeline and these days are grayed out in the timeline window, in the Gantt portion. No matter what I try, the activities are still scheduled to be completed in this period and I cannot get them to be affected by the non-working days, they just sequence themselves back to back, regardless of the calendar or timeline settings.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone know why this is happening?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Bonjour,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;J'ai un projet sur MS PROJECT sur lequel il y a plusieurs phases qui se déroulent soit en parallèle soit à la suite. J'ai ajouté un saut de page entre chaque phase afin de pouvoir faire une impression de chaque phase indépendamment.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Pour imprimer mes phases (en PDF), je sélectionne "imprimer les dates et pages personnalisées".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sur l'aperçu, rien d'anormal.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Lorsque j'ai édité mon PDF, je me retrouve avec en arrière plan les tâches de mes autres phases qui se déroulent en parallèle. The beginning of my manual work on the fridge might be called "point X" :)&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So wthat I have done is, that I have linked the summarizing task from Person A to Point X with a end-to-start constraint.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now, the documentation preparation for point X should be as late as possible, so I give all the preparation tasks the constraint type "as late as possible" and all the tasks downstream from Point X "as soon as possible".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;what now happens is, that Point X moves forward in time. It is no longer the end date of the Person A, but seems to be about 14 days later. This should not happen as I really want to take Point X as the fixing point for preparation work. And yes, Point X is a variable date, dependent on when Person A finishes his work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I set the constraint "has to start on ..." for Point X, everything works fine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, who knows what I am doing wrong?       <title>PWA-SharePoint - Access Rights / Settings</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am absolutely struggling to wrap my mind around settings for User Access involving PWA and the individual SharePoint Project sites.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In our solution:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. We are using 'Project Permission Mode'&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. When a new Project is created, we have a Flow that creates a corresponding Team and SharePoint, and establishes a User selected while setting up the Project as the 'Owner' of the Team/Group for the Project.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. Once the Project is created, in the Teams app, the 'Owner' will add Members to the Team for a specific Project.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4. Each Team has tabs which link to various document libraries (drawings, specifications, contracts, etc) in the SharePoint site for the Project.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Issue:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When the Owner adds an employee to a Project Team, the employee is able to see that Team in their Teams app...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, some employees, when they click on a Tab that corresponds to a SharePoint document library, they get presented with "You need permission to access this site / Request Access".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My main struggle is that not every employee experiences this issue, and I cannot find any sort of consistency.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any advice?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;---&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Additional Information:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. Not all users need any sort of access to PWA or the PWA Project Site. The users that do need access to PWA are assigned (at minimum) a Project Essential license.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2.       <title>Question: Tasks - Planner - Resources - Licenses [Project Web App]</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am seeking clarification on a specific issue, involving a handful of dynamics that I can't seem to find a clear answer on. (We have a custom implementation of Project Web App.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Scenario:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. A Project is created, which simultaneously creates a SharePoint and Teams Team for the project.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. The Owner/Project Manager assigned while setting up the Project adds Users to the Team, giving them access to SharePoint files and other basic resources.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. The Project Manager begins to develop the Schedule for the Project, which includes assigning Resources/Users to Tasks, assigned to a Planner Bucket, with Planner Sync enabled.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4. Most end users (Superintendents, Foremen, etc.) interact with most aspects of their Project via Teams, on an iPad, at a remote job site. Each Team has Tabs setup for various resource, including a Tab for Planner. (They have no need to interact directly with the PWA Project Site.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5. When the Project Manager updates/publishes the Schedule, the Tasks are pushed into Planner, which the end users interface with within Teams.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;6. The end users use Planner, within Teams, to update the progress of their assigned Tasks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Obviously, for a Project Manager to assign a Resource (end user) to a Task, they must be setup as a Resource...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Question:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt; For a Resource (lower level end user) to be able to be setup as a Resource AND interact with assigned Planner Tasks... Do they need to have, at bare minimum, a Project Essential license?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or... Here is my scenario:&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I have Project Plan 3 and have create a new project in Project for the Web&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I have associated this project with an existing Office 365 group in my tenant&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The O365 group has 3 internal users and 3 guest users - the guest users can log in and view SharePoint, Teams, etc. resources associated with the Office 365 group.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The guest users do not show up as members in the project; only the users in the tenant show up as being able to be assigned in the project.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Am I missing something, or is guest collaboration not possible yet with Project for the Web?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone. I hope there is a solution for my problem. I have a schedule in MS Project with some tasks repeated dozens of time. They are not performed regularly so i can't add them as recurring tasks. During the optimization i need to modify the duration of them but, since they are not linked to each other and there is no constraint of equality, i need to modify the duration by hand, one task at time.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This operation is very time consuming, is there any strategy to optimize it? The best thing would be to modify only one operation duration and then the software update all equal tasks with the same operation automatically.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks to everyone who can help me&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi guys&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know we can capture Issues and Risks on Project Online but I have a whole RAID log I use (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions etc) that I use outside of server online which I cannot integrate with my PowerBI Dashboards to show one global view (unless I build an EDW).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do I go about creating Action Items, Decisions etc? Should I use custom field?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

This means I cannot group my tasks with Group by: "week of year".
