I was recently informed some fixes for cached/online mode have arrived in Version 2108. Checking the version page, version is in Current Channel. Can you move Office client to Current Channel and delete the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\CloudPolicy, close Office application and relaunch to fetch policy. Let us know if its resolved. If not please provide specific GPO name. Thanks.

We have a GPO that activates the cache mode for the users (can not be changed by user)

We wanted to disable the cache mode for a group of users with the OCPS. The registry is correctly created. But the cache mode remains activated by the GPO.

Name: Use Cached Exchange Mode for new and existing Outlook profiles.

Is it still correct that OCPS > GPO ?

We also tried to create a new profile, but the cache mode remains enabled.

Naming of OneNote versions are totally confusing. Also both use the same icon when pinned to taskbar! I still can't believe this decision from MS to leave different OneNote versions in such a unclear mess. MS, please think about naming convention of different OneNote, best combine functionality so both work very, very similar, but the paid one with more features. At the moment both versions have different features, also free OneNote version has features which paid 365 version does not have. It's totally confusing. And of course, use different icons for them!

I agree totally with , also for naming convention ideas.

I know Microsoft is big on trying to get into schools, so I can easily imagine coaches talking strategy and positioning using whiteboards, in person or remote. Or collaborating on the development of new plays. I've been free handing this on my surface pro X to teach my little league team on where fielders should go on a given play... the fetch times are calculated by the service and provided to the client. There is no setting that allows you to adjust this. What sort of interval are you looking for?

Thank you for your reply. I meant to mention that I have Office 365 on my personal machine (with the separate install of OneNote). It's my work machine that's at issue with the shrinking images in the full Office 2016 Professional Plus installation. And this is a consistent problem I've seen for years in Office 2016. Installing my own Office 365 at other jobs in the past -- is the only way I got around this problem.

As to your point about OneNote being included in Office 365 now: If that's the case, that's part of the change that Microsoft made in putting OneNote back into Office (365 and future versions). They removed it from Office 365 -- so the only way you could get it was a full OneNote 2016 installation (or an Office 365 install with a separate install of OneNote).

So what you're seeing now in Office 365 reflects that change. On my account it still shows that OneNote isn't included in Office 365, but on this page it is -- which syncs with what you're saying: Compare All Microsoft 365 Plans (Formerly Office 365) - Microsoft Store

That's good to know -- because now I know that a standard Office 365 install (with OneNote included) -- does not have the problem. So your input has been helpful -- it's just that it doesn't solve my problem (because at work I'm stuck with Office 2016 for now).

I really do appreciate your input on this -- and please let me know if that clears it up and if you have any further thoughts on it.

Pasted images are shrinking in the Office 2016 install that includes OneNote, but not in Office 365. Since Microsoft removed OneNote from 365, you have to download OneNote separately to get it. I’ve never had a problem with the Office 365/separate OneNote installation—but the issue is consistent in the Office 2016 Professional Plus install.

Office 365 comes with OneNote now? I installed it on a brand new computer and OneNote for Microsoft 365 was included in the install. I have had no issues pasting images either. Not sure what you are getting at? I use the OneNote Screen capture and capture all the time and paste into OneNote with no shrinking.

I have been dealing with this image-shrinking issue on and off for years—and through some additional investigation, I narrowed down the difference in behavior (but not the cause).

Pasted images are shrinking in the Office 2016 install that includes OneNote, but not in Office 365. Since Microsoft removed OneNote from 365, you have to download OneNote separately to get it. I’ve never had a problem with the Office 365/separate OneNote installation—but the issue is consistent in the Office 2016 Professional Plus install.

Microsoft should be embarrassed by the fiasco they created around OneNote—pushing customers to use their Windows 10 toy and taking away one of the best tools ever built. They created avoidable confusion that remains to this day, and on top of that—this pasting problem that exists in one version and not the other.

Untold millions don’t even realize that it’s not supposed to shrink the images like that. I’m in IT and I relentlessly dig for answers—and it took me awhile to nail down what’s going on here. So there’s a lot of people out there who have just been putting up with it—and that’s not right. Your customers deserve a lot better than that.

On the removal of OneNote from Office: I was one of those people who fought that for over a year—and to Microsoft’s credit, they changed their minds. That’s a lot of time and frustration that no one should have had to invest. Microsoft has made some major blunders over the years—and in the right hands, those mistakes are opportunities to learn from. That stunt you pulled with pushing people to Windows 10 OneNote—you should have known better.

It’s wonderful that you came around, but you need to take a hard look at why you make such a massive mistake in the first place.

And you need to fix this problem with the images. That is sloppy programming—and that should be as unacceptable in your eyes as it is in mine. Even if you can’t fix it, there’s an explanation for it—and I wanna know what it is.

For customers that are Cloud only, there are few options!

Not applicable - 1. Monthly Enterprise Channel not in ADMX template. Also Intune ADMX to change channel for Office CSP based installation of Office is not supported

Not feasible - 2. Edit the Office app suite on Intune portal. The update will fail with error “An update could not be installed because Office applications are open”

Maybe - 3. As Microsoft 365 Apps admin center - Servicing profile was silently GA this week, do we focus our efforts on this however has reporting issues in Devices tab, Using AAD Group (6 devices) only showing 2 devices, Azure Active Directory registered devices are not supported at this time and no RBAC (Doesn't support Global Reader)

Not Tested 4. Delete the existing Microsoft 365 Apps for Windows 10 app from the Intune and create a new one with desired settings. MS Support has tested in lab, however MS Support has no customers reporting they are using this method. how many of your Cloud only (No SCCM and GPO!) customers have successfully completed this?

, , , - As a Microsoft 365 Apps Ranger, I believe you go for Option 3. When can we see full support for Azure Active Directory registered devices? In Apps Health blade seeing Current Channel (1.34%) under App currency, however not in Inventory blade. I wish I could see the devices for the Sessions in the Apps Health blade too. You will get quicker adoption from Admins, if you provided Intune Administrator role the same access as Office apps administrator role, otherwise needs to goto the Security team to add another Azure AD role! Please also implement RBAC for Microsoft 365 Apps admin center like Intune already does. I don't want to provide privileged roles (Office apps administrator) to Service Desk, they allow to have Reports Reader and PIM to other roles to fulfil their duties (User Administrator)

The only significant feature from OneNote Win10/UWP I'm interested in is the superior smooth panning/scrolling/zooming compared to OneNote 2016/Win32.

If this can be somehow integrated into OneNote 2016, that would be great. A few additional shortcuts for pens would also be appreciated. Every other feature of Win32 OneNote is pretty superior to the UWP OneNote.

GENERAL - Do NOT Change OneNote 2016 Design

PLEASE include the majority of functions of the original OneNote 2016 such as:

OCR - Ability to Copy Text from Graphics - the Win10 version apparently attempts at this function but does NOT work. Sometimes after 30 minutes you may receive the text from an image (IF any?) but the original 2016 version was immediate and always works
Date / Time - Win10 does NOT offer to include the ability to change the D/T of a note as with 2016 - WHY or HOW?
Menu Bar - as I read thru MANY of the comments, most people prefer the option to see the original 2016 Windows menu ribbon (including Settings / Account / Options) as ALL other Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.) or at least include the ability to create a Quick Access Toolbar. Seems that MANY of the "improvements" in Microsoft are costing users MUCH more time!
Links to Other OneNote - appears that Win10 version has omitted the ability to include a link as in 2016. This is a MUST and WHY was it omitted?
New Window - the original 2016 version includes the Title / File Name in front of the Program Name in the Taskbar (Name - OneNote) As you may well imagine with several OneNote windows open, it is VERY difficult to select the correct tab without entering each - NOT well thought out.
Sections across Top - Allow Section Tabs across Top - NOT take space along side
Outlook Tasks - generally thought the idea of Office 365 was to INTEGRATE the programs. Again the Win10 seems to have eliminated this basic function of including flags / alarms to Outlook.
Email Page - Ability in Win 10 to directly Email Page as in OneNote 2016
Sync Status - while I generally find a much needed improvement in syncing, it would be very helpful to include a sync icon, that quickly from a glance you would know the status as in 2016 (with Name / Title), NOT with having to enter the Show Notebook List, Rt Click, Sync.

The current Mac doesn't use PST files for offline storage, it has a different strategy. It can import a pst file, but has a Mac Archive File format (.olm).

I expect you could copy them to an online account, providing you had enough storage space (different limits for different types of users.) Archiving is typically done when you run out of online space of course.

Yeah, I'm reviewing alternatives to Mac Outlook (and it won't be Apple's Mail program). Things are kind of mixed, but there appear to be some options.

I speak from experience on the dev side. I worked for MSFT for 17 years, and have been an MVP for 12 since. It's tragic to see people who don't understand the application's origins and philosophy taking over and not respecting work that has been fine-tuned for years because they want to do something new.

By local storage and old archived mails, are you talking about PST files?

Can those emails be copied to subfolders of Exchange accounts so that they will be available from there?

Asking because we (we are an MSP) have pushed all our MS365 users (mostly non-profits) to abandon Apple Mail clients and use Outlook on all devices.

Your comment about MSFT dev is so true.

Always about new features. Not fixing problems. And more often than not about dumbing-down long-time apps for tablet and web users.

I guess it is similar to Apple "innovating" by removing headphone jacks from iPhones.

I expect they'll update the UI, but I could care less about that. Persisting functionality? I'll believe it when I see it.

For me, the most important thing to persist is offline storage. I'm not convinced the team is behind that, the article doesn't comment on it. And if you look at the current Mac Outlook, their "New Look" redesign eliminates local storage of mail - just abandons it and you'll never be able to reference those archived mails ever again.

One truth about MSFT development is that there is very little to no long-term memory in the development teams, it leaves as people climb the corporate ladder or retire. And people don't get the big rewards for maintaining someone from the past's work, just for putting in new features.

Great start; however, where is the ongoing commitment? Microsoft show such promise- Whiteboard can be used in Teams- you even have Surface hardware with a stylus to make life super-easy! However, without extra templates, I don't feel you are anywhere close to closing the gap between the likes of Mural, Miro, and Lucidspark.

I do hope that Redmond realizes that meetings in Teams aren't all about Powerpoint presentations!

Yep, the good ole' SCCM waiting game. Even after the update evaluation was done, and logs shows it as applicable, there was a need to wait over an hour for it to kick off on it's own. No rebooting, kicking off tasks, extra eval cycles etc would get the C2R COM to start the download during the availability window. Only time did that :)

Thank you for the question. Cloud is a reference to the Office Cloud Policy Service (OCPS). At this time, OCPS doesn't support Channel Management so it shouldn't be a factor. The priority order referenced in blog remains accurate.

Let me start with the easy one, Office 2019 behavior is the same. As you stated, M365 Apps and Office 2019 use same code base so same behavior. By design, SCCM uses some internal randomization in terms of timing, there are a bunch of timers at play. (this is the reason precise timers are not provided as they will be different by design) To my recollection, when I did testing for this scenario, I had to be patient and wait for SCCM to do its thing and stage the content on the machine. Once that happens, the next launch of Office application will result in the "BusBar", the yellow banner in app notification saying updates are pending and user can drive change. If an Office application was already open it won't show the BusBar unless you close and reopen it. Therefore, the greater window prior to deadline would give users more time to drive the update themselves before deadline.

So I'm trying to make Scenario 2 work. Updates are deployed with available as of today, set with deadline for 2 days from now. The update shows in software center as "Scheduled to install after <insert 2 days from now date here>"

Scenario 2 says that OfficeMgmtCOM should step in and download this content from the distribution point. When does it do that? When does it get staged? I can't seem to find these answers.

Note: If I manually kick it off from Software Center, it downloads and does its thing, but I want to know when users will be prompted WITHIN office apps to do it themselves in order to avoid the deadline install that fails and requires reboot...

Also, wanting to know if this works at all with Office 2019 Perpetual Click-To-Run as well, since it's using the same setup engine from Office Deployment Toolkit.

We managed to fix the issue above, however now the policies are being retrieved, registry keys get populated but not taking effect! I tried logging in with M365 account on a standalone machine (not part of a domain) and always same issue keys are being retrieved as expected but the settings are not being applied! any hint on what's preventing the cloud settings from taking effect, Thank you

How can I disable Excel 4.0 macros entirely using group policy? The option "Enable Excel 4.0 macros when VBA macros are enabled" was added in Office 365 quite a bit ago, but I do not see a corresponding policy even after updating to the latest Office 2016 admin templates.

Deploying Office using the 'Microsoft 365 Apps (Windows 10)' wizard within Intune is unique in that it leverages the OfficeCSP. When using OfficeCSP, there is no deadline defined which is a requirement to generate the CDN described deadline notifications above. I suspect for OfficeCSP scenarios, you would need to additionally add a Configuration Profile from Devices to access Windows 10 Administrative Templates. There is a selection Computer Configuration/Microsoft Office 2016 (Machine)/Updates/Update Deadline. Define an integer here in terms of days. Example 5. Which would mean once new Office build has been download, a deadline of 5 days in the future would be stamped in registry and provide same CDN experience described in article. I haven't tested this scenario but believe it should work as described.

after facing issues to get the cloud policies applied.
I tried deleting the cloudpolicy key and restarting the whole office 365 suite, after running word for example again, the registry key gets created but the policies aren't being applied, however, I have noticed something weird which is that the policyHash key value is empty and the fetch interval is set to zero instead of 90 which makes me believe that the cloud policies aren't being retrieved in the first place since there is no policyhash registered! Do you have any idea on what could be causing this issue!

That is correct. The client creates the registry keys when it receives the policy set from the service. As GCC is not currently eligible there are no settings to return thus no registry entries are created.

, thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately the only option that was given to 'opt-out' of this upcoming change is to use OCPS. The change apparently is set to affect all tenants, including GCC.

Question - At what point in the process does the Office Client put the registry keys in so it can keep track of settings? Does it first have to reach out and verify eligibility of OCPS first? If so, that would explain why the keys never get created.

If your tenant is GCC and currently OCPS is not supported for that scenario, this could explain unexpected results you're seeing. Seeking an alternative, not using OCPS, would be the way to go as there is no ETA when GCC will be supported.

Sorry to bring this up again, but I'm still having issues even getting support to recognize the issue. I'm trying to get it escalated, but I may have to actually talk to my federal account rep here shortly.

Regarding the OCPS, one thing I *did* notice - Its lets me configure the policy on 'config.office.com', but the "Health Status' never loads. It just says 'Loading...' and stays that way forever. (screencap below) Any thoughts? Maybe it's related to my issues. I'd bring it up with Support, but they'd probably just refer me back to this page, which was literally the first thing they told me to do, followed by 'look at the message center'.

I can confirm per Overview of the Office cloud policy service for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise - Deploy Office | Microsoft Docs "The Office cloud policy service isn't available to customers who have the following plans: Office 365 GCC, or Office 365 GCC High and DoD." For this specific feature\message center post, I recommend reaching out to MS Support to ensure you're receiving best guidance from the right folks.

I've been trying to make OCPS work, but the registry keys don't ever get created when launching the app. No keys exist in either of those two main locations ('Cloud' or 'CloudPolicy'), so I can't just 'delete' them to retry, because they never exist in the first place. Running 2008 (Build 13127.21668).

One possible issue, we are running GCC, however, I *can* go and create the policy at config.office.com, so I'm getting conflicting info on whether GCC is supported.

If GCC isn't supported, how am I supposed to apply the setting to disable the upcoming 'Microsoft Outlook Extension' Notification (MC264090)? They are apparently rolling it out to GCC, but yet only provide OCPS as a means to turn it off.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

In general OneNote 2016 is faster and delays less. It is nice and good :)

A bug I detected is that it does not always sync the latest changes to the cloud before closing. It does not take Close as a threat.

You speak wise. If only MS could come to the same conclusion. Honestly, I would pay for the option. It's a massive step, as I have never paid for any MS product. Surely, they can do it.

I am still a little confused about the reasoning behind buying Nuance, when they could purchase something like notability, combined the 3 and kill all the comp. MS has all the ingredience to slaughter the competition, yet seem to lack direction (I am a shareholder in MS, hence my comment). Would love to know what MS employees and their families use.

the main problem (for me and people in health/science) is the thought of being chucked out with the trash. I understand things come and they go, but the uncertainty is going to be the reason I will have to start to looks at Alts (which none are anywhere near as functional). I'm think maybe this is a nice wake all call, that maybe using 1 ecosystem is a bad idea. Gotta love the integration of almost all science-based add-on being for the Microsoft ecosystem and not mac (which are rubbish anyway). Any suggestions on what you would do. People in my industry have thousands of notebooks they write during their career. I buy a diary in December and it's lost before the new year. Need something that will be an option for around the next 50 years (I am aware of end of life support), but gathered MS would likely outlive me

The naming of OneNote is pure confusion if you've installed the latest Office suite (inc OneNote 2016) and haven't updated the store app. You have two OneNote apps, both just called 'OneNote'.

I prefer the speed of opening and syncing Notebooks with the W10 app, but prefer the options 2016 provides around exporting.

That is correct, the workaround for dedicated DPs for O365 will not work when your clients are over internet. In that scenario I think you would have to let your clients download straight from Microsoft catalog over the internet.

We are experimenting a similar issue since our VPN software cannot deal with URL's for split tunneling (IP Only).

The workaround with dedicated DP for o365 updates looks great but if my understanding is right it will not work for clients that are sometimes connected to Internet only (VPN disconnected). Can you confirm ?

I concur. The current nomenclature is confusing. One of the things for which I use OneNote is to store my expense receipts. It is important to have that data on my physical drive (backed up regularly) and on OneDrive for accessibility with my smartphone.

I still wish that MS would restore the ability to scan documents, such as letter size receipts, from a scanner directly into OneNote. Camera shots of large documents from my phone leave a lot to be desired.

I think I speak for many (particular higher degree students and young medical professionals) that OneNote for Windows 10 will never be suitable. There needs to be an option to store data locally and not just in the cloud. For many, both the local copy, with the cloud copy is a great system and works well.

I Truely believe OneNote 2016, has had its name destroyed by OneNote (for 10). I know countless people that used the OneNote from Windows 10 version at uni, and upon graduation, found out they could download the notebooks off 365 enterprises. University normally can access within days / weeks for a grad. People still don't understand the difference and I'm shocked Microsoft hasn't made this very clear. (Seriously, there are tens of thousands online begging for help).

I wish you guys would try to bring the two together and come up with some decent branding. The confusion system, is just moving people to keep (which isn't feature rich, but it is clear you are the product, but your data at least remains)

Marketing Suggestion (I won't even charge you)
OneNote Basic edition: limited functions, free online or app
OneNote Pro edition: User has control, select what they want to add and implement the positive features from basic (comes paid withn 365)

Seriously, as a share holder, a student with 365, a surface user and an educator, which I force students to use MS, deal with this. Please ......

Is there any more news regarding the inclusion of O365 Multi-Geo with CSP? This is literally the only hurdle our company has right now stopping us from completing a migration into the cloud. Microsoft's assumption that small and medium sized multi-nationals simply don't exist, is extremely narrow minded.

Its obvious that Microsoft wants companies shifted from EA to CSP when they increased the minimum user license limit to 500 in 2016. And yet basic functionality such as Multi-Geo is still missing from CSP. Functionality that is available from Microsoft's competitors.

I need an answer to a pretty much tough question - have you guys given up Whiteboard? This article is from september 2019 and not much has happened with Whiteboard since. I am asking because we are considering moving to Whiteboard for UX and facilitation. It really looks like a promising MVP, but without further development it doesn't come near to being useful - you can't even create your own templates and lay out, say a whole design sprint up front. It's a massive limitation. On the other hand if this improvement is on the way it might be the reason for us to adopt Whiteboard...

the updates to support WinINET were released for SAEC Version 2008 (Build 13127.21064) released on Jan 12. This functionality is available to clients in all update channels if their version is > 13127.21064.

My question is may be slightly offtop but it concerns to updates channels. We are using Intune as MDM and want to setup Configuration profile with Monthly Enterprise update channel. But I can't see MEC in the list of the 'Channel Name' setting:

As we can see the channels' names are also old.

Is it possible some how update this list? I've tried to search about this but didn't find anything useful.

I am trying to create my own Design Thinking Templates in MS Whiteboard, I am able to create the templates but those I only can use not able to save them as a separate template.

Can you please make this possible that the user is able to create templates as per their needs and save them in the template library for their local profile? But hey can be used by stakeholders in the organization. I mean a reusable template.

Also one this template is good a user can submit to MS then MS can consider to make this as a global template that can be used by all users of MS Whiteboard?

This is not fixed in 2103 either. To over come this issue we deployed new on premise DPs and staged only O365 Updates to it, no other content is staged to these on prem DPs. We removed the O365 Updates from CMG. We added the new on prem DPs to the VPN Boundary group. This way for O365 Updates the on prem DP is used, for all other content the CMG is used. We recognize that due to this configuration our clients will come over the VPN link to our on prem DP to download the O365 updates but that is a compromise we had to make as CMG would still not support O365 CDN content.

We are currently in process of deploying the on prem DPs. We are getting new servers provisioned to do this. What we had tested in our lower environments was so, we simply didnt select any option for fallback to neighbour or default boundary group. We also didnt select the option to go to Microsoft updates when content is not found on local DPs. We are allowing the client to look at CMG, where the content is not staged. By default the client will look to the next set of DPs in the BG which will be on prem and will get content from the on prem DPs. This has worked in our lower environments.

The reason to now allow clients to go to Microsoft updates is the fact that we will not be able to control the time when the updates are downloaded and also we do not want to consume our VPN Bandwidth with the download of this update content over the internet while connected to VPN. We are not able to split tunnel based on FQDN due to limitations on our VPN infrastructure.

Open question:

If the boundary group is configure to "prefer cloud based sources over on-premises sources", the client should get it directly from Cloud DP or Microsoft.

How did you configure the Office update?
If in the deployment download settings you check the option "if software updates are not available on distribution point in current, neighbor or site boundary groups, download content from Microsoft Updates", and you do not synch the update content with the cloud DPs then the client should fallback to Microsoft to get the content.
Did you try that option?

This is incorrect. O365 Updates are not supported over CMG\Cloud Distribution points as per the limitations listed here and from our own internal testing as well:

Thank you! We are planning to setup some On Prem DPs which we will add to our boundary group for our VPN clients. These new DPs will have no other content except the O365 updates on them. I learned yesterday the *workaround*, initially released for COVID support, has been deprecated mentioned above. Therefore, customers who use forced tunnel VPN must whitelist by FQDN the URLs as specified on the Office IP and URL page. This option was dropped primarily due to lack of use by other customers.

I'm no longer on the Office team at Microsoft but I do know there was a message center post at the start of COVID (I don't have the specific reference available) which directed customers in your situation to contact your Microsoft Account Manager (TAM or CSAM) and open a support ticket as a workaround does exist, not public. (Microsoft recommends split tunnel by FQDN where possible). As you stated, if IP is the only way for your customer, MS Support can share instructions to permit this as an exception. If the MS Support person isn't familiar direct them to contact me and I can point them in right direction to help you. The one caveat is the workaround only works when using default update from CDN scenario. You cannot use Configuration Manager to deliver updates for Office 365 Client and restrict updates to subset of IPs. Of course, Configuration Manager will continue to provide compliance information, just not be involved in pushing updates. In short, the answer is option #1 above + Workaround provided by MS Support. (where IPs are shared for your VPN exceptions)

I have been scouring through blogs and documentation but I am not able to find IP Ranges for officecdn to use for Office 365 Updates. We unfortunately have a limitation where we need to split tunnel using only IP addresses and not FQDN for our Office 365 Updates to use public internet for clients connected over VPN. Our original plan was to use CMG to deploy the updates but turns out Office 365 Updates (CDN content) are not supported over CMG\cloud Distribution points. The only alternative is to allow our clients to download the updates over the internet but in order to do that we need the IP ranges for the office CDN. We have been discussing creating an installation package for the update that we would then deploy through the CMG but the package would have a very complex logic for X86 or X64, with or without Visio\Project etc. Hoping you can point me in the right direction to find the IP ranges for the officecdn for updates.

I have been scouring through blogs and documentation but I am not able to find IP Ranges for officecdn to use for Office 365 Updates. We are unfortunately have a limitation where we need to split tunnel our Office 365 Updates to use public internet for clients connected over VPN. Our original plan was to use CMG to deploy the updates but turns out Office 365 Updates are not supported over CMG\cloud Distribution points. The only alternative is to allow our clients to download the updates over the internet but in order to do that we need the IP ranges for the office CDN. We are currently running Windows Upgrades over our CMG. Any thoughts on how to over come this?

I use Mac because I dislike Microsoft, but am forced to use Microsoft 365 because others do. Now you have changed the save default forcing me to use One Drive, which I do not want to use and I cannot find a good way to save to iCloud or my computer. One more forced attempt for Microsoft and Apple to disengage. I don't have time to convert One Drive to iCloud--nor do I want to. I will look for other means tor my work documents that is user friendly and less proprietary. Shame, Microsoft for making my life more complicated and controlled.

If what and says is true, the auto renewal feature creates an endless loop that will result in no (or very few) groups being deleted.

It only makes sense if a group CANNOT be auto-renewed after the first notification is sent out.

, please respond. Is this behaviour the way it works? And if so, will you consider changing that behaviour?

I'm having compatibility issue with MS Project Professional 2016 (Semi-Annual Enterprise version 2008) connecting to SharePoint Project Server 2013.

The same MS Project Project Professional 2016 (version 1908 version) working fine without any issue but unfortunately, the Microsoft support has ended last week and we have updated the MS Proj Profession 2016 to version 2008 but now we are facing compatibility issues and not able to open SharePoint Server 2013.

I do not see any posts in msdn regarding the compatibility of MPP 2016 new versions to Server 2013.

Can someone help me in getting the solution.

Just to add to the above, reducing the limit for Multi Geo to 250 just further proves that this is a solution for Midsize aswell as Enterprise customers and the product offering should be included under CSP. Whilst it’s great to support existing EA customers, doesn’t this just send mixed messages to channel?
Not to mention enabling CSP/MSP resellers to service these customers from end to end gives the customer greater choice and better value.
A customer with 250 seats would certainly receive a more proactive service under the CSP channel over LSP.
