- MilasdvnCopper ContributorThis indicates how effectively a process is utilizing the CPU resources. A highly efficient process uses fewer CPU cycles to accomplish its tasks, which can lead to better overall system performance, especially when multiple applications are running.
- xartinCopper ContributorA high efficiency value indicates that the GPU is performing well without wasting resources, while low efficiency might suggest it is underperforming or consuming too much power for the output it's providing.
- LinassworCopper ContributorThis typically refers to how well an application or process is using system resources, like CPU and memory, to perform its tasks without consuming unnecessary power or resources. In some contexts, such as when referring to apps on Windows 11 that support the new performance improvements, "Efficiency" could mean that the app is designed to run in a way that minimizes its impact on system performance and battery life, especially on laptops and tablets. An app marked as "Efficient" is generally good at conserving resources and should provide a smoother experience overall.
- HarrazobCopper ContributorIn some contexts, it could refer to specific efficiency metrics that applications or tools report, indicating that processes are running without unnecessary strain on system resources. If you see high efficiency in a process, it generally means it's a well-functioning application that isn't hogging resources.
