Scheduled Tasks in Modern Standby
Exciting Update: Windows 12 Pro, V23H1 23007.2022
Pioneer Nouveau XPS 2022 - fully optimized with latest Dell enhancements, including Firmware upgrades.
In a recent breakthrough collaboration with the tech community, it has come to my attention that scheduled tasks are not operational during Standby mode (S0). Consequently, my crucial backups and virus checks remain dormant. Although I verified Windows' maintenance schedule set for 2:00 am, I encountered an obstacle in activating the option to awaken the system from sleep mode.
Is there a Group Policy configuration that can be toggled to facilitate the execution of scheduled tasks? I'm aware of a specific policy adjustment that enables network connectivity during Standby mode, detailed in an illuminating guide by Brink.
My preference is to avoid a full operating system reinstall.
I find it inconceivable that Microsoft has implemented a protocol that essentially cripples the Task Scheduler, causing maintenance to coincide with user activity on the device.
