leave the insider program
I have not been able to leave the Insider program. Microsoft support tells me that i need to factory reset my machine resulting in loosing my files and personal settings I know how to do this but i don't want to. It is really a pain in the butt. Is there another way to leave the program without reset?

Only in the beta channel - you can disable insider updates - and wait for stable Windows, sometimes for many months
Dev. and Canary - requires clean installation
Deleted is there anyway to switch out of Canary mode,

In this article - there are detailed instructions on how to perform a clean installation of a stable version of Windows, at the same time [factory reset is a waste of time, there is no such possibility]
