Czech translation issue in Windows 11 setup – misleading Disk/Partition labels

Description:
There is a translation issue in the Czech version of Windows 11 setup, still present in the latest 25H2 build.
In the installation screen where the user selects the target disk/partition, the terms Disk and Partition are swapped in Czech.

English: Disk 0 Partition 1
Current Czech: Oddíl 0 disku 1
Correct Czech: Disk 0, oddíl 1

In Czech, "Oddíl" means "Partition" and "Disk" means the same as in English ("Disk"). The incorrect word order is confusing and could easily lead to a mistake, especially on systems with multiple physical drives. In the worst case, a user might delete or format the wrong partition.

I attached screenshots comparing English and Czech versions for clarity.

Expected translation:

Disk 0, oddíl 1
Disk 0, oddíl 2 (MSR vyhrazené)
Disk 0, oddíl 3 (Primární)

This issue has been present since 24H2 and is still not corrected in 25H2. Correcting this would significantly improve clarity and prevent possible data loss during installation.

  • Great catch. Do you know if this is recent or a long ongoing bug?
