CPU overheating with AIO 240mm cooler
Hello,
I'm currently running the i9 14900k with the Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 Black ARGB Water Cooling CPU Cooler. I'm having some temp problems specifically while gaming. I've updated to the latest BIOS for my motherboard and I'm really left with what to do in terms of how to solve this without buying a bigger AIO CPU Cooler. However, I could be wrong if these temps are normal.. I'll attach a photo I took of the temps while gaming.

Let’s talk fan configuration. Are your fans set to push air in and out properly? It’s like a dance party in there; everything needs to be in sync. If your case fans are fighting with your AIO fans for airflow, you might end up with a mini sauna instead of a cool chill zone. Make sure your AIO fans are set to push air through the radiator and out of the case while your case fans are working to pull fresh air in. Think of it as creating a nice breeze – you want to keep that airflow flowing!
RonaldWhite to avoid damages of the CPU please Update your BIOS to the latest and setup RAM XMP and also for the CPU load the Baseline profile.
This will update the microcode and prevent damages. It's important to load the profile to make the protections effective. This is generally the case for Intel 13 and 14th gen CPUs.

The i9-14900K can run hot under load, commonly reaching temperatures between 70-90°C during gaming, especially if running at full load for extended periods. However, temperatures above this range may indicate issues.
I9 14th gen is very demanding. I have a 420 mm to get it right. Need recommendations?
Also we could need a pic of your inner of your tower and the model of the case.
Thanks for tagging on reply.

If you can share those temps you mentioned, it’d help to know what's considered "normal" for your setup. Generally, for the i9-14900K, idle temps should be around 30-40°C, while gaming you might see 70-85°C. Anything over 90°C can be concerning!

Verify the orientation of the fans. They should be configured to pull cool air into the case or exhaust hot air from the radiator, depending on your case setup. Ensure that the fans are mounted to flow the right direction.

If one tube is hot and the other room temperature the the pump is not pumping water through the loop. Most die within a few years. Either the pump fails or the microfins on the CPU cold plate gets clogged.

Check for proper cooler installation, ensure adequate thermal paste application, improve airflow in your case, and verify fan/pump speeds in BIOS or software. If temps persistently exceed safe limits (85–90°C), consider undervolting the CPU or upgrading the cooler.
