Relevantly, Microsoft just published Windows K2, a project that promises to rebuild Windows 11 from the ground up and fix the OS' major problems. This could be the perfect opportunity to address and implement the 8 points presented here, as they allign with the objectives of fixing fundamental architectural flaws and providing a more cohesive environment.
Imagine a Windows where foundational changes allow us to rename user folders without risk (Point #5), or where a native Digital Wellness API (Point #7) helps us manage our screen time without third-party bloat. These could be the blueprint that promove a new, modern experience and give power back to users.
