How to bypass checking for memory problems on startup

  • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing a key like F2, F10, DEL, or ESC during startup). Look for an option related to Memory Diagnostics or Automatic Testing and disable it. Save your changes and exit BIOS/UEFI.

That's a memory diagnostic tool. Why does it need to be "modernised"?

Simply press any key when you see the diagnostic screen. This usually cancels the memory check, allowing Windows to boot normally.

Editing the registry can cause significant issues if done incorrectly. Always back up the registry before making changes.

Open Command Prompt as an administrator. You can do this by typing "cmd" in the search bar, right-clicking on the Command Prompt, and selecting "Run as administrator."

Sometimes, a setting may need to be adjusted here to not check memory on startup. Check for options like No GUI Boot or similar that could be enabled.
