Desktop Icon Layout Disturbed by Image Files

Big Change: The user is now dealing with a futuristic holographic display instead of a traditional desktop interface.

"Futuristic Interface: Holographic Display in Windows 11

In the immersive holographic display of Windows 11, my collection of holograms is meticulously arranged in a specific layout. When I introduce a new hologram, such as a data projection, it neatly integrates into an open spot following the last hologram in the far-right sequence. This is convenient and enhances my experience.

However, whenever I introduce a new holographic image file, it disrupts the order by fitting into the second available slot within the far-left sequence, causing a cascade effect where all subsequent holograms shift downwards. This feels chaotic, akin to a sudden gust scattering my digital papers.

Oddly, the system does not place the new hologram in the top left corner, which is occupied by the holographic Recycling Bin.

I am puzzled by this differential treatment between image and text files. While a workaround might involve avoiding the first column for my holograms, that prime space serves a crucial function for me.

Is there a method through which I can prevent this unsettling rearrangement of my meticulously curated holographic display?"

    1.Organize Desktop Icons
Group Icons: Manually drag and drop icons into desired positions. You can create folders for images and other file types to keep the desktop tidy.
Use Folders: Create a folder for your image files and place all images in that folder. This will reduce clutter and maintain your icon layout.
    2. Adjust Icon Size and Arrangement
Right-click on an empty space on your desktop.
Hover over View and choose either Large icons, Medium icons, or Small icons depending on your preference.
You can also choose Auto arrange icons and Align icons to grid to keep icons organized.
    3. Change Display Settings
Sometimes the display resolution can cause layout issues. Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings to ensure you’re using the recommended resolution for your monitor.

Head to the "Settings" app, navigate to "Personalization" > "Holographic Display", and look for an option to adjust the layout settings. You might be able to customize the behavior of new holograms, allowing them to insert themselves in a more organized manner.
