Reporting on failed Feature Updates and the exact error that caused it
Can Configuration Manager report on the exact error that prevents a PC from applying a Feature Update?
Similar to that, is there a remediation method "Fix it" that we can deploy to resolve common errors?
- Hi Timothy. Yes. As of ConfigMgr 2010, we added the ability to leverage and collect the output of SetupDiag. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/osd/deploy-use/manage-windows-as-a-service#analyze-setupdiag-errors for details.
