Universal printer says installed, but not in printer list
Hi, I had a universal printer but change the properties to colour. So I deleted the printer on a device to re add but now I cannot add it back, it reports its installed but does not appear in the printer list. Any ideas? tried looking at registry keys to remove but no luck.
Resolved the issue. Cloud printers register as a device in devices. Locate the device, click on the ellipse and remove device. Reboot the Device, you will now be able to add in the Universal Printer again.

Excellent!
Thanks so much for this.
Until I found this post, I was unable to remove this device with Powershell because it was not found as a printer, and I was unable to remove the driver because it was in use.
Removing the device from the "other devices" then let me remove the driver, then re-add the printer from universal print.

We are facing the same issues. The only thing that worked is to sign in as admin to the registry and delete all items of that printer. You may use a Powershell-script for that purpose.
Of course - no solution.. - chiners_68Copper Contributor

Still not clear. 1st remove device, 2nd Reboot the device. The question is reboot what device?
Every time I remove the device it removes the printer. When I add the printer again it goes back to "Other Devices" category. I need to add the cloud printer as a printer. Please help.
- chiners_68Copper Contributoratirado08 Remove the printer listed in Bluetooth and other devices > devices. reboot the laptop/desktop what ever you have removed the device from. Once the device is back up, go into printers and scanners, Add and in the drop down select Work or School. The printer will now display.
