sql server access with managed accounts

Hello fellow

I have windows services (some app) which rely on sql server. The windows service just won't start if it can't access the sql server db. I am incline to change the service accounts of that windows service to managed service accounts. However after granting the manged service accounts to sql servers and updating the windows services to newly created managed service account, the windows service just won't start. Am i doing the right thing or is this just simple not achievable. I am trying to work around the hassle of resetting service account password. Thanks fellow!
