Mar 27, 2019Skype for Business Server Control Panel (Preview)
Welcome to the SfB Server Control Panel preview! Please use this thread to share feedback and questions on the new Control Panel.
- 93ImagineCopper ContributorHeya I installed the preview but I only get the limited admin view. How do I get the Full Admin view. My account is a member of all the CS groups.
- Andre_HagmannCopper ContributorDear Rohit, do you have a schedule, when we can expect the full featured version of the new control panel UI.
Many thanks

Hello,
We updated our S4B19 system servers with all the updates for March 2020, as well as the MACP phase 2. We like the fact that it is expanding and there are more capabilities there.
After the updates, we now cannot log in to MACP as admins using Chrome, the login page throws the error "Exception : Invalid user credentials : User is not an administrator" (screenshot below).
Using the same URL and credentials in Edge browser works fine.
This worked well with Chrome and Edge before the upgrade, with MACP phase 1.
Is Chrome not supported anymore?Do we need to configure anything to get it to work?
The article on MACP phase 2 (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/skype-for-business-blog/skype-for-business-2019-control-panel-phase-2-released/ba-p/1240564) has the following text, not sure it's related:
We have also enabled Role Based Access Control (RBAC) to the Admin panel and the mechanism to provide different access permissions remains similar to the old Silverlight based panel.
Can you help?
Thanks,
David.

Thank you David for your feedback and informing about this issue. This appears samesite issue thats specific to Chrome, but we need to analyze to confirm this. Can you please share your netwok logs in Chrome browser for analysis ? Also, please share the version details for the Chrome browser and Edge browser.
- David_Dudi_YacouelCopper ContributorHi,
Sorry for the late update.
The issue was resolved the next day when we updated Chrome to the next version.
All is good and working.
Thanks!

In regards to; "Exception : Invalid user credentials : User is not SIP enabled.A lot of companies specify admin creds need to be separate from normal domain creds, so this can be challenging for those businesses that don't want to SIP enable privileged accounts.
As a Managed Service Provider, we support a lot of customers SfB environments, if we have to SIP enable our Admin accounts, it means we will appear in their Address Book too (which we don't want). There are ways around this, but it feels like the Control Panel shouldn't have a dependency on the user being SIP enabled.- Hiren_Shah

Thank you for your feedback. We are aware about this requirement and it is in our roadmap for development. If there is anything else you would like to mention please share. We will be happy to consider the requirements.
Hi guys! any update when a newer release of the MACP will appear? Just got my hands on CU2 and found that the MACP version number went up to 2046.151 but after reviewing the site files, there appears to be no changes to the site(Newer version number but same site assets). Its been over a year since the MACP was announced at Ignite and having the features from CSCP would really benefit not only myself, but my customers. Thank you!

Hello Eric, the new version of Control Panel is targeted for release in this month before Xmas. We are working towards this release and please be assured that we are aware of this requirement
Hiren_Shah Excellent, Thank you very much! Small bit of feedback, are we able to have the option to double-click a user to open the user management pane without having to click edit. Retain the single click so you can select multiple users if desired, but if just wanting to edit a single user, a double-click would be very useful! Thank you!
- mayur480Copper ContributorHello Team, IN skype control panal how can we block login access from Skype ?
- Andre_HagmannCopper Contributor
Great Preview of the Control Pannel, hope we can elemination soon the old CSCP.
Would be great to add CsMeetingRoom and User Call Forwarding Settings Management in the new UI
Hi,
I have seen this a few times in different environments, but am having an issue when logging into the MACP. I keep getting an error stating "Exception : Invalid user credentials : User is not an administrator". I have tried everything from different user accounts, different permissions (Mixes of CSAdministrator, RTCUniversalServerAdmin, Domain Admins, etc)
Any guidance on troubleshooting this error?

The account must be SIP enabled and one should use pool uri to access the admin portal and not local host.
- khojsCopper Contributor
Yes, It works now.
It works if you are using the https://pool fqdn/macp and not fiddle with https://localhost/macp

Hello,
I can only access the Control Panel with my user account... When I try to access it with my admin account I get the error message "Exception : Invalid user credentials : User is not SIP enabled.
". So the access I have is limited...
When I access the "legacy" control panel with my Admin account I dont have any issues.
We are on SfB 2019 cu1 on-prem.

ga_p yes this is current requirement for the admins to be SIP enabled to login into the new control panel. It is in our roadmap to address this.
- Doug DrewryCopper Contributor
Sketchy details...no guidance on login failures even when all prerequisites are met. Looks like not ready for prime time.
- Hiren_Shah
Microsoft
Doug Drewry , can you provide details about your login failures ? we can definitely look to improve the login experience.

Are there any plans for this new control panel to include functionality for managing Common Area Phones?
