Syntex not processing files

48 hours ago, Syntex stopped processing files in our libraries, across several SharePoint sites and models.

 

Processing Status is currently “In Progress” for over 36 hours in some cases.  No errors are shown in the “Processing status” column.  

 

We've tried removing the models and applying again, adding new files, manually choosing to Classify & Extract.

This occurred 3 months ago, and Microsoft had a SharePoint service degradation issue at the time, but current nothing showing on 365 Health.

 

Anyone else experiencing this or have ideas?  We logged a support request but current they cannot find an issue.

    Spoke with Microsoft, they said due to high demand an Syntex, processing can take 48 hours.  They temporarily placed us in a high priority queue, and they classify almost instantly!  All the files stuck processing were classifies without having to reupload or manually start classification again.

    First, see if the Syntex service is working properly, then open the detailed logging, then take a closer look at the logs to see if there are any errors or warnings, then check if Syntex has permission to access the files, and then check if the categorization and extraction rules in the model configuration are correct, and make sure that Syntex and SharePoint are up to date, and that they are updated wherever necessary.

    We are also having the same issue , best is to get in touch with Product group team and one more thing noted is if you reclassify the documents that are inprogress state they are being stuck forever , in this case the best thing is to reupload the documents.
