SharePoint Publishing News with social features?

We use often the sharepoint standard publishing feature for structured corporate news in sharepoint classic (sp2013, sp2016). Use pagelayout for new entries, publish on time and styled rollup with search display templates, with custom queries to view only relevant news for the user. We have NO social features for comments in the pagelibrary... (noteboard feature for comments are deprecated...)

Other option is the sharepoint standard blog. Use ootb blog, create blog posts as news, use social features like and comments, its ootb in blog. But no publishing on time...

We want to use the best from both possibilities. OOTB, publish on time, social features like and comment, custom fields for search queries.

How do we get the social feature comment/like to the news?

Any ideas?
