Organisation info on the new profile card seems outdated
We noticed a difference between the data shown in the new profile card and the data shown on the profile in Delve. More specifically, the organisational info (tree structure) is missing for several user profiles in the new profile card while this info is visible in the Delve profile card.
It seems as if there is a huge delay in updating the data on the new profile card (> 1 week), is this correct?
In the screenshot you see the new profile only shows 1 direct report instead of 4.
- Hi Bart, This difference is because Delve and the Profile Card use two different sources. Delve uses the SharePoint User Profile service and the Profile Card uses the relationship data stored in the Managed By attribute in Azure Active Directory. This produces the inconsistent results you see. I have remarked on this to Microsoft elsewhere in this community. If you update the Managed By property, manually or by PowerShell the tree structure will display. Currently, you will need to align Delve and the Profile Card yourself. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info! Pretty confusing, since both profiles are shown within SharePoint.
It is unfortunate users will not be able to keep their managedby value up to date anymore.
- John WynneSilver ContributorIndeed. This is certainly an area that Microsoft needs to pick up on. There really needs to be 'one version of the truth' The reality is we are still seeing some legacy of old products migrating into Office 365 vs purpose built functionality built for the cloud.
