List of filters and 'Clear Filters' button shown in SharePoint List View below the list name

Seeking a resolution to this 'Clear Filter' button. The purpose in building a filtered view is to allow some items to be seen while hiding them from others. Why would MS intrude into this decision and make it impossible? This has been a simple solution for years.
raruth We have a list of content created by multiple users that can't be viewed by everyone. The Created By field partially solves this problem when we apply the [Me] filter. But, the user clears this filter and views all the disallowed items.
- One solution is to use custom css and hide Clear Filters button to retain access rights of users.
