"Filter By" Search Box no returning results

Our account uses a "PO Book" where all requests to have a PO raised go in to. When we select a column and do "Filter By" we search an item we know is there and it just continues to show the loading spinner. This is happening in all columns where the search box is available. The list "search" and the filter pane and checkboxes all work. Just this search function. This is also happening on all sites that I am a site collection admin on
