Hi Guys , |
Really struggling with this Microssoft Vetting Process.
We have submitted every document possible . I don't think the vetting department is even reading these, their responses are so generic and just aren't accurate.
Also the feedback on tickets is like 2 -5 days at a time.
Has anyone been able to successfully been able to get this over the line and how?- AMcMillonCopper Contributor
I had similar problems and the responses I received were vague and did not specifically address the issue. I realized that the address that I used on the application for my non-profit had to match the address on the corporate documents. I also suggest that you provide certified copies of those documents from the state's department that handles incorporating organizations. I also had to create a business account because another problem I had was that I was using my non-profit's email address as my personal address and until I am able to use that address, I had to create a "onmicrosoft.com email address", which is a free account. My experience this process is that the individuals handling your case are not going to be that helpful and more likely than not, you will have to figure out yourself, just as I had to do with the business address conflict and having no business email address when I started the process that I had.

Hey,
We had vetting process issues but after submitting tickets to different organizations involved in MS vetting it ended up being resolved. In fact, I started getting actual call backs from within the MS organization either to confirm they could not help (then sending me in the right direction) or to help move things forward. We are in the EU, so maybe the workloads of the MS teams vary from region to region but the person named in the original message was exactly the same person we had trouble with. Feedback on tickets was indeed 2-5 days. From start to finish it took us about 1.5 months to vet our company but that includes the lack of clarity in the some portions of the application process that led to errors in our responses that had to be corrected.

We've been stuck on a loop for almost a year with the same problem. Can anyone help us? JillArmour

Hi Carlos, we were able to close the loop through opening tickets that reiterated the issue. In the end, I was being called by different people who each owned specific pieces of the issue and it was finally resolved. One year seems an inordinate amount of time but I have to say that the Microsoft KYC process is fairly thorough. I would not hesitate to escalate the issue.

The only way to get through the vetting process when you are having problems is to use the support link and submit a ticket. There is no call center or anyone I can connect you with to speak to unfortunately.
I am not part of the support or vetting team so my knowledge here is limited.

Let me add that I did submit a case and their responses were not helpful. I was just sent standard vague responses and had to figure out my problem myself.

It took me a while to realize my issue. My corporate documents require a physical address, which is my home address and the address I was using for registration was the post office box that I use as my corporate address. I had to change the registration address to the same address on the corporate documents. Obtaining true copies is not a problem. I was able to pay a small fee and download those from the state website.

Hello, I just came across your message, and I wanted to share that we’re experiencing a similar issue with Sweta S. — she emailed me referencing a submission that was supposedly from us, but the message was actually addressed to someone from a completely different company. She also claimed that we submitted inaccurate documentation, which seems to be a clear case of confusing multiple vetting applications.
After reading your message, I’m increasingly concerned that they might preemptively dismiss our vetting request as a precautionary "CYA" move, due to this mix-up.
Did you have to escalate the issue to get clarity or resolution?
I've had no luck finding a direct phone contact, so I plan to open another support ticket. I'm also worried that Sweta S. may have mishandled confidential data — she referenced another company’s name when referring to our documents, which raises the risk that she may have actually sent our information to them by mistake.
If you have any advice or experience in resolving this kind of issue, I’d be very grateful.

I replied to jjones257 that the address that I used to register was not the same as the address on my corporate documents. When I changed the address I used to register to the same as the address on my corporate documents, my registration was finally approved. I submitted a ticket; but, their responses are not specific and I had to figure out my problem myself.

Thanks much for the guidance. My issue is slightly different but since I raised a new trouble ticket Microsoft has called me to get to the bottom of it and it looks like Sweta has reconciled her audit with the correct application. We seem to have made a mistake on the "department name" that will manage the certificates, which we thought was the "R&D" department but should just be the name of our company once again. Not the most intuitive process in the world.

Microsoft Partner registration is still problematic. I have submitted certified true copies of all my corporate documents and still my application gets rejected. The reviewers may be expecting documents from some nonexistent US National corporate registry and don't understand that states incorporate businesses. I am going to create another ticket and hopefully, someone else will be competent enough to handle it.
- jjones257Copper ContributorFinally! I was able to complete the process after appealing again and updating my address to add the PO Box. It was long and stressful, and I had to submit multiple tickets and all my documents. but I'm finally apart of Microsoft partnership program

jjones257 We've been through this process for many years, and it gets worse every year. For some reason our partner account takes over 6 months to get verified. Support staff takes days or weeks between follow-ups and those replies are vague in the reason for rejection. One such reply was a rejection because of a date in the future. Come to find out that they were looking at the expiration date of our domain name on the invoice that they requested. They then closed the case. I essentially started talking to them like a 2-year-old which seems to help for some reason. The vetting staff are rude, incompetent, unprofessional and seem to like wasting customer's time.
We started the re-vetting process 6 months ago and they have been rather aggressive this year. We are currently 2 months expired and still dealing with their sorry customer service. My advice, start the re-vetting process 3 to 6 months ahead of time and you may be able to keep your hair on your head. I swear it was 100 times easier to get our company a CAGE code for government contracting than it is to be vetted by Microsoft as a partner.
