Still receiving emails from blocked domain
Hello,
For the past two months I have been reporting and blocking every email that comes from mailjetzky, yet for some reason every one of their emails still comes through.
On outlook (see images attached) it clearly says "Blocking a sender or domain will stop their email coming to your mailbox". But this doesn't work one bit... this isn't the only domain that I'm still receiving emails from after blocking them.
Looking on Reddit many people have been going through the same thing https://old.reddit.com/r/AskUK/comments/1hmtcmz/are_you_getting_loads_of_emails_with_the_address/
Please can someone guide me as to how to fix this issue with outlook, as the report and block button, should, report and block the domain from contacting me in any way shape or form....

Hope this helps.
With Outlook open in your browser, navigate to settings. It's the cog at the top right of the page.
Select 'Junk email' then scroll down until you see the 'Senders' section. Select 'Blocked senders and domains' and click '+ Add blocked sender'.
Enter the domain to block and click OK.
*However*, I noticed the 'Save' button disappears upon clicking OK. I reopened outlook.com and the list is empty. I'd say this is a good indication as to why some have mentioned blocking the domain does not block messages from it.
I have reported this to Microsoft.

Hi, so for me the save button was there and I have a long list of blocked domains and senders.
However, blocking both the email address and domain separately did stop me receiving emails from them.
In order to solve this, I had to create a rule to block the phrase mailjetzky, which is a hassle that I now have to block keywords from certain scammers to stop them sending me mail, which could lead me to missing out on important mail.
I just wish Microsoft's block function actually did it's job and worked.

I had a reply last night, did you try making a rule for this and send it to deleted?

Hi, so I made a rule to block any phrase with mailjetzky and that seems to have done the trick as I've stopped receiving emails from them.
This issue is that blocking a sender on Outlook, does not block them, and it leads to harassment, as mailjetzky have been doing.

I know, it can be super hard to deal with. If my trick worked, it should send to deleted continuously. Please take a moment and mark my answer as the solution, I'd appreciate it! thanks!

I too have been getting cr*p from mailjetzky for months! I block each and every one, yet still they get through. Really is doing my head in.

Same here!

Did you try creating a rule for this? Send any of those to the deleted items instead of blocking? These are a few I made with my outlook.com account.

I had replied and requested more information to help a bit more, but my reply is now missing. I'm getting an alert of this post though.
You can block the domain, mailjetzky.
This way, you will be blocking all emails (info@, alert@, etc.) from this sender's domain.
If you find this information helpful, please mark it as best answer which will help others with the question.

The issue here is that this blocking function doesn’t work for any email from the mailjetzky domain

Hello,
So I would need to manually add each spam/phishing domain to the block list?
What's the purpose of the report & block button if it doesn't do anything?
Even when I press that button, Outlook says that it'll block the sender and that I'll stop receiving their emails, but this isn't the case. (see image below)
Mailjetzky is an example of one getting through the block list for me somehow.

Before I answer, what type of email account do you have? Outlook.com or a domain based email with business 365 Exchange, or Yahoo/AOL? There are different ways to block depending on the type of account you have.

Hello,
I'm using outlook through a browser. Just a normal personal outlook.com account.
I followed the other users instructions to block the domain entirely a few days ago, but I'm still receiving emails from them (see pictures below)
I'm struggling to understand why blocking email senders in outlook, doesn't block them.
I manually blocked the domain too a few days ago, but this has done nothing.
