Confilcts in Outlook-taks

Hello,

In Outlook (Office365, 64 Bits) we frequently use "tasks". The created tasks are used as a kind of archive: email exchanges, documents, images, URLs, etc. are stored in it.

Users always work in Outlook from only 1 device (desktop PC).

It happens too often that tasks become corrupt and Outlook gives notifications:
"This is the most recent version, but you made changes to another copy"

and/or
“You made changes to another copy of this item"

The other versions of the task can be viewed, but the information here is also incomplete and corrupt.

Microsoft reported this issue in article:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/conflicts-in-outlook-task-fff8768c-8724-4ef4-bed9-ef7dea15841d

In this article Microsoft stated the issueto be fixed: "the Microsoft To Do Team has released a client-side fix to address theses issues" .

No further details about the solution are given. Unfortunately, we are still experiencing conflicts in the Outlook tasks. Does anyone else recognize this problem? Does anyone have a possible solution?

Thank you,

Peter

  • If you are using tasks in different versions of Outlook/same person or sharing this might be the cause. Some folks use Outlook 2016 and some use 365 apps for business. Could be a conflict there, just thinking of what I'd tell my clients first before diving deeper.

I also have this issue and would like to know what the "client-side fix" is.  Agreed that Microsoft didn't provide a solution in this article acknowledging the issue.
