BTC2 Promo - Dynamics 365 BC licences already licensed as a test purpose

Hello,

We have a customer who is currently using an on-premises Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution. Some time ago, we sold the customer a Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS licence for testing purposes.

Under the terms of the BTC2 promotion, the customer can no longer benefit from a discounted move to the cloud. However, I understand that this was still available under the Cloud Migration Promo.

At the time, we deliberately sold the licence as a non-promotional licence because it was not clear at the time that the customer would want to move to the cloud.

How can the customer still benefit from a discount and take advantage of the promo?

Thank you in advanced for your help.

Kind regards,

Marcel

To clarify, your customer has already migrated to the cloud, and you want to take advantage of the B2C2 or the Cloud Migration promo, correct?

If so, since your customer has already migration to the cloud, unfortunately, they're not eligible based on the following requirements:

    • B2C2 promo - (this information can be found in the Bridge to the Cloud 2 Promo Policy and FAQ that's located in Partner Center):

    • Cloud Migration promo - ended June 30, 2023.

Also, as a friendly reminder, partners should use the Offer Matrix to find eligible promotions.  The Global Promo Readiness Guide is another great resource to review current promotions.

Also, as mentioned in the B2C2 promotion FAQ, your local ROC confirm promotion eligibility requirements:

      Hello,

      Thanks for the quick support.

Currently the customer is only using the on-prem solution productively, a migration to the cloud has not yet started, we are still planning and coordinating with the customer.

The customer has ordered a D365 BC user as a first step to get a look and feel of the solution.

      Best Regards,
      Marcel Reimann
