HoloLens2 Microphone Not Recognizing Speech Commands

Hololens is picking up my audio, but none of my voice commands are registering. The audio picked up from the microphone is faint too.
All OS and app updates are already installed. Device has been powered off and booted back up. Tried factory resetting device too. Not sure how to fix issue. Currently developing in Unity.

    Did you go to settings > sound> microphone > test/troubleshoot the volume level?

      I tried that but it didn't seem to register anything. It said that the maximum volume level detected is zero.
