Hololens2 help with focussing

Hi Everyone

I am an engineer and we are try to use Hololens for remove viewing of mechanical parts. This requires us to be able to hold the part close to the hololens to view details, like damage to the parts. We are having difficulty with the Hololens autofocus which hunts for other items in view. Is there a means to select the focus point, like you would do when using a digital camera (DSLR)? It would also be useful to know what is the minimum focal distance for the Hololens. Finally, is anyone aware of a 'digital magnifying glass'? For example, if the Hololens wearer could select a magnifier which projects a magnified image of what they are holding into their view. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks
