Why did the new Teams remove the feature that lets you know who has already joined a meeting?

In the classic Teams, you used to be able to see who had joined a meeting that already started. They've removed this in the new Teams.

Is there a workaround? Not sure why they'd remove helpful key features like this....

I've tried to use Teams classic, but it is now defunct 🙂
