Using Teams with multiple organizations
Okay y'all I think I have found a work around, at least if you don't mind multiple teams windows
1.) Create a profile in Microsoft Edge
2.) Log into company 2 using this profile at portal.office.com
3.) In this new web page, under apps, go to teams (like you are opening teams in the web browser)
4.) Once teams is open go to the top right and hit the menu button for edge (the three dash marks)
5.) Click Apps (should be right under downloads)
6.) Click open in Microsoft teams
7.) From here you should be able to Pin to taskbar, desktop, and start menu
This will be a separate icon and will even have a separate notification bubble on the task bar.
yes I know this isn't what we all wanted where we can mesh different companies onto one page but its the closest I have found to be able to have two teams instances running at the same time while also having a dedicated icon/not just using a browser.
Warning I have not tested calling or notifications so I don't know if this will work as expected.
